@IamGAWD777 not everybody in Haiti does Voodoo most Haitians are either Protestants Christians or Roman Catholics look things up before you start talking crap
Haiti is a lost cause. No matter what you/they do, it will never be enough. They ruined all the resources, the forests and the reefs. They have way way too many people, about have of them need to check off the planet. There is nothing you can do for them that can ever get them self sufficient. That country has been in the crap since at least the 50's.
@RayetWolf i belive haiti can be a better place its just the government is corupted and they need responsible people with intergrety to manage the money. because really the dominican republic has helped them and many people around the world has send them money yet they still live in tents.
The teacher in this film is probably one of few that has started this organized learning center.. You dont expect to have every qualified teacher over there at the beginning.. Things like this take time.
Hopefully this can familiarize the community with a standard teaching system that they can utilize in the future.
i dont want to sound racist but.. but i get the impression they are learning only about music (well since its music class).. getting them ready for rap and dance?
you liberals on the internet will never learn....without a manufactoring and manual labor industry your country is nothing....I dont care if you graduated from Harvard if you live in a place with no jobs and no real ability to be an entrepreneur or build something then the education cannot be applied.
This obsession with Haiti is quite sad, if you ask me. Haiti's problems is not unique to the world. Haiti has the same problems that millions upon millions have in India, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and elsewhere around the world. The only unique experience that Haiti has experienced is that the country has been punished for freeing itself from tyranny 207 years ago.
Haiti this. Haiti that. Give Haiti a fucking break and let the country live.
@nadoop When people are in need, people help. Right now, haiti is in need, and we're helping. And haiti isn't the only country we're trying to help, we help countries in Africa, countries in Asia, and ect. If you'd take a moment to pay attention, you'd see that there have been commercials advertising helping children ALL OVER the the world.
@VelvetWind8 Nonsense. Haiti doesn't need "help," Haiti needs liberation from the neocolonialists who pose as saviors in order to continue raping and pillaging the country in the false name of good-will. Haiti has a government, which has deliberately been undermined via the approximately 10,000 NGOs that invaded the country. Funny, all of this so-called charity, and Haiti continues to suffer. Perhaps you should think about that? Haiti needs liberation - not false charity.
I find it amazing that some people do this out of the goodness in their hearts. Alzire and so many others are doing absolutely everything they can in those poor, almost inhuman conditions of a ruined civilization. It is the people like Alzaire that will be remembered in 50 years, when Haiti hopefully is once again a respectful nation.
BUT; there is one thing I don't understand. Many children in the tent camps have lost their parents and have no birth certificate. Are they not allowed at school?
@BarneySecurity Look at Barbados, look at Bahamas. Black people CAN succeed, but when you consider that we weren't even enfranchised until a generation ago, its not hard to understand why there are pockets of Black poverty. Aside from that, only 20% of blacks actually live in impoverished ghettos. Most of us in the US are middle and working class law abiding citizens, so for you to make such a comment is not only insulting, but it reflects poorly on you, your intelligence, and your education.
@xssully67x "Please learn how to spell before you spew your ignorance."
I was born and i live in a non-english speaking nation.I can speak english, italian, spanish and a bit of french, and i do understand (altough i cant speak very easy) russian and german. When you will be able to write your comments to me in my own language, with no grammar errors, then you can say i'm ignorant.
Until then you are just a stupid guy that is insulting people just because you dont have arguments.
Haiti will see this is about controlling its children to turn them into socialist and worse.
using them! not showing them how to think for themselves.
real education to help become intelligent for thier families and country is NOT going to happen!
Scambama who never allow the right way to teach.Haiti will see when the future comes to pass and it is still a 3rd world. has anything from the USA brought Haiti out of poverty yet? NO, did the Kennedys help Haiti?NO
