All He's sayin is that there is diversity, so to speak, in gospel music that James Hall for one mentions God or Jesus' name in his songs. And I do very much agree... Kirk and Mary Mary's music rarely mentions the word God or Jesus in them. If I were in the world and have never heard of gospel music, I would be confused as to if they were secular or not. I am definately a James Hall fan for life. This song was written my Melvin Crispell and is now sung by Melvin's Choir Testimony. I agree that James Hall definately should be main stream but unfortunately in the industry what sells is if church choirs can sing your music in church. James Hall is so skilled in his music and most church choirs are not able to get the music. But Im a fan forever and I think that we need more than whats out there now.
This song is the TRUTH, I met Doc Hall a couple years ago and if nobody knew he is also a disgusting beast on the Organ. He uses his heel and toe on the bass pedals, sound like riffs on a guitar.
This was the first song I listened to on the CD when I bought it. I really wish they would play his music on the radio station. James Hall is awesome and doesn't get enough props......but God knows and thats all that matters.
