  • You did a great job man. I play to piece too. I might have to post it when i get the time. Oh and I love your registration especially the full organ tutti. Most organist don't use full organ when it says right in the score to use tutti or full organ. So again excellent job brother!

  • The most sensitive playing of this piece on YouTube, thank you, you made my day.

  • I adored GTB, although I only k new him slightly. I had the chance to help him at a service and watch his phenomenal technique. Although he did not play this piece, he did perform the elegy from "A Little Organ Book", as well as the famous Reubke piece.

Unlike most of the amateur organists who think they deserve a slot on YouTube, you play very well. I hope you manage to improve your sound quality, one day.

  • Elegy in Bb by Sir George Thalben-ball.

  • Shame about the recessed sound; still, this version is the pick of the bunch ! Many thanks !

  • Thanks so much...I play it SO often, but it's such a beautiful piece. The other thing is that people so often don't use the full scope of the instrument when they play it; its good to get right to TUTTI for the thrid page!

    Thanks again!

  • Yep that's true. He was asked to fill in 5 minutes on the radio for a broadcast, then the church recieved sackfulls of letters asking Thalben-Ball what tune that was, and so he thought well, that was really popular, i'll write it down and publish it, and so here it is, being brilliantly played with passion and soul, unlike some performences
