Modeling agencies do set up contests to bring in more models. ANTM is just the worst representation of the profession but people who love the show assume agencies deal with those type of "girls" all the time. In the real world where Tyra is now a microscopic entity within the industry due to her lack of respect for the craft, people don't out up with those who don't study the history, the designers and fashion shows. A reason being models have to work hard to earn respect from those in charge.
