  • My GF will go through a mastectomy in about a week. I am so sad and scared for her. I wish I could do something for her. If I could trade places with her I would. This is so not fair....

  • @mrabuckten have you or someone you know personally been cured using oil from the cannibus indica plant? if not, then STFU! i am tired of listening to quack jobs banter about how drinking fruit juices and doing this or that cures cancer! my GF has taken care of herself all her life...she's eaten right, avoided nasty foods, consumed lots of fruits and vegetables...and guess what...she still got cancer!

  • thanks for sharing your story. I was also 31 at diagnosis. I've documented my journey through youtube videos as well.

6 months ago I had my last chemo. Yea!

    Hope you are doing well.

  • This was a very beautiful video. I wish you would put together a companion piece to show your body post mastectomy, so people can see the beauty in triumph over cancer.

  • I was diagnosed with stage III aggressive IDC in January 2009 at age 39. It was a shock. When you said that "you can't even see or picture the future you had the day before [you were diagnosed] — it just goes dark", it really resonated with me. I remember for about a month I couldn't even look at photos of me before I was diagnosed because I was so sad that I was no longer that carefree, worry-free woman. Thanks for your work with the foundation and your lovely poignant video.

  • Be strong lady, u will be fine n dont think too much.

  • Photographing my body was a healing art therapy I have now made available to women in Los Angeles, while we build a database of photographers to participate in this program. Unless you've been through breast cancer at a young age, you can't have accurate empathy. Our first recipient said "it was the most empowering thing she could have done before surgery." Others who didn't do it regret that they didn't. Beauty doesn't fade at all! I feel more beautiful now without nipples and with scars!

  • i can feel what u feel ! i know it is realy difficult to live as a woman without breasts .. it is extremely difficult to accept to lose even a toe of my body but....

u still alive... even without breasts... ur soul is stilll here in ur heart... ur brain still there in ur head... and god is still there in the heaven and these all mean that every thing will be allright even in the paradise

  • Why photograph your body nude before cancer? It's only a shell that you live in for a temporary time period. We all aren't 18 anymore, and beauty fades anyway. Beat the cancer, live to see another day, and be happy with that.

  • I am completely agree with u... i believe that God will regive us in the heaven all what we have lost in life.. this is - as u said - a tepmporary period until we reach the heaven and live forever without illnesses, pains, problems, or even leaving our beloved

  • I am 47 years old and was diagnosed August 7, 2008. I am a Stage IIIA breast cancer fighter/survivor.

Are you going to be having reconstructive surgery?

I have to wait to be cancer free two years. And then there is a two year waiting list to get the procedure done.

Stay strong surround yourself with only positive people but educate those who need to be educated.

  • Excellent video - I only had the one removed and that was emotional enough. I am lopsided -lol but to have them both removed was not suggested as I was told that I was going to be going through enough with just the one removed and the chemo and radiation too. I am a stage III A cancer fighter/survivor. 8 out of 15 lymph nodes were cancerous.

Good luck in your life. And did you have to have chemo and radiation?

  • Amazed with your courage and strength to get through the tragedy. God bless you! You put hope and survival encouragement to others fighting this battle. Thanks!
