  • SFK=silver fox knife?

  • That's certainly a productive way to spend an afternoon! I once had a spear point that was cut and ground down from a slasher blade, and your SFK reminds me of it. Well done, Sean on the spoon, I have to agree it's not the prettiest sight to behold, but I'm thinking you proved your point!

  • Well done, and a beautiful knife. but wouldn't it be more useful for carving if it was sharpened all the way to the grip?

  • Good video of versatility of the knife.

  • Grow up kn#b head,if lofty wiesman saw this he would p#ss himself lauhging.

  • @dabalamanzi You're not Lofty Wiseman, you don't know what he'd think. To be honest he'd be a hell of a lot more respectful of others and would probably admire the enginuity. As for growing up....who's the one throwing uncalled for and unnecessary names around? You're embarassing yourself.

    Great work Sean.

  • Frankly i enjoy your videos.. but id buy 10 USMC knifes then buy a sfk coz of weight / size ratio.

Im not saying its not a good knife. but its not the one for me.

  • @khaniu I accept your comments and agree the SFK is not for everyone. Thanks

  • neeto

  • man i love that knife. i should ask chris how much it would cost.

  • Dude I like your videos, quite professional and confident but I just don't see how your knife with its massive scabbard or the other knife you reviewed are near practical. They may get the job done and are lighter than carrying a knife and an axe but they are so cumbersome! Its like a compromise in the tool quality for some weight...

Plus, if you're walking or camping near to or with the public they might do as far as to report you with that bloody great thing strapped to your leg. Its grotesque

  • I only have it on my hip/leg when I get to my camp. Otherwise Its in my pack.

  • @NWoodward90 People who call the cops on a grown man with a knife are complete idiots. As far as the knife is concerned you must realize the value in a knife that will complete all bushcraft and survival tasks. A tool like this knife shown are priceless in the bush.

  • good for you man. I like this tool it does a good job and I can see some useful ideas for this.

  • Nice job. Looks like a nice knife.

  • why is it stupid, can you please explain

  • sorry m8 its not stupid, it is very beautiful with some amazing craftmanship. i see that now, but it's just not conventional

  • I have a spoon knife but the purpose of this video was to attempt to make the whole spoon with the one knife.

  • ok, well i apologize to you and to all theviewersof this video and will be removing my comments that are degrading or aggresive.

  • whats the law in england on carrrying knives like that around?

  • ok, any folding penkife is ok but the police will take it away if they think you have a malintent. for any locking blade under 3inches, you must have a good reason to be carrying it, ie fishing. same for any fixed blade knife under 3''. for that retarded bastard child of a small forest axe and a parang you would need to get a lisence or special permission. ust get a mora knife ffs much better quality and nice and cheap aswell. i have carvednicer things with mine and it only cost me 15£...

    ;}

  • no u dont u stupid retard, u just need permission from the land owner, or own the wood urself

  • yes i said special permission, and it goes without sayin that u can carry woteva da fuk u want on your own land

    XD douchhebag...

  • yes i said special permission, and it goes without sayin that u can carry whatever you want on your own land

  • That was a really neat video! Do they sell these knives a little bit smaller for us women? My hands are very small, but I would love to have a knife like this!

Thanks for sharing your video with us!

    God Bless.

  • no they dont and the wont either. you dont want this knife anyway believe me. this is just a vague substitute for a tom brown tracker . you want a mora training knife. ignore the training bit most intructors use it. it is a quality blade and only about 15£

  • Chirs makes custom knives to order. You can have what ever size and shape knife you want. The price is higher because they are hand crafted. The mora knives are excellent and I do own one but I would not choose it as my one only knife.

  • you have your own knife cool

  • Great vid Sean. When the vid started fast forwarding I had visions of Benny Hill's Chase sequences with scantily clad chicks running around lol. Also what wood did you use, just that scandanavian pine is the only option where I go camping and I wouldn't want to harm any of the few remaining indigenous trees that are around. Any advice?

    Cheers

  • Hazel is a great wood to use. Its happy to be coppiced so you wont kill the tree by removing on branch. Also as with most tress that have edible parts (leaves, fruit, nuts) the is not toxic so ok for cokking utensils.

  • cheers for the reply bud

  • planes are frigen loud

  • There was no real script here. You should have fast forwarded the whole vid. To long but nice spoon.

  • On refelction I think I agree. This video was to satisfy the critics who did not think you could carve with this knife. A spoon showed all the grips of the knife. I did not want to cut the film to prove the whole thing was carved with the one tool. Thanks for watching.

  • Don't be daft Sean, script?! What! You're making a SPOON!

    Talk about anal retentve!

    It's a good vid man

  • Hey Sean

At the very begining of the video. you moved something from the log. It seems like a turtle shell. What is it really? And why is there so many planes that go bye through out the video?

  • The woods I am using are at the end of Bristol Airport. The turtle shell like item I moved are my knee pads. I was using them as seat padding.

  • I've been away for a while, so this is the first time I've seen the SFK. Brilliant design.

  • Sorry. I just wrote, that video is long and boring. (In russian).

  • Огорченно вы были пробурены. Он ухищренный человек однако и я надеюсь что вы оценивает то. Наилучшие пожелания

  • Bože! Kakaja skukotišča! 17 minut kovyrjajetsa s kakoj-to doskoj. I v rezuľtate - fignia na postnom masle!

  • I've no idea what you have said. I just hope you arent swearing.

  • haha im loving the distorted audio from the chopping in the fast forwarding parts!

  • Is it me or is seans hat getting more and more outrageous, starting to look like a Pimp :D

  • He got all da bitches, word! lol

  • Its evolving.

  • I think it is alive :D, keep up the great videos.

  • We'll know if he starts wearing a purple hat like the one he's got now!

  • great vid sean that knife is working great

  • ok i know its not what you want but maybe you should consider a companion blade like a kukri.

sorry if i'm repetive but i love a good kukri lol

  • Kukris are great for all sorts of work (and fun, too!) but they're a pain to lug around all day on a trek.

For temperate woodlands, it's more energy-efficient to carry a small fixed blade and a good folding saw.

  • ahh well i'm not a trekkie lol but i do carry a mora and a good folding saw more often i just love using my kukri and think a nice companion blade would be good with the SFK

  • I agree about the saw and smaller knife, but the SFK does make light work of heavy work.

  • I have seen small kukhris' that may work well as a companion. But for me I find the handles too uncomfortable. I have a full size one at home that I am going to rehandle. I am currently working with Chris Grant to make a companion knife to the SFK.

  • ohh i didnt mean a kukri as a companion no need for that with your blade desinge i mean like a traditional kukri companion blade you know i cant remember the name now lol

  • i know what u mean, its like a mini kukri

  • Comment removed

  • what the SFK?

  • silver fox knife, its his custom knife

  • yeah i know mate i thought that you thought i was saying he should use a small kukri as a companion lol

  • i just was saying that i knew of the knife u were talkin about

  • i was talking about the kada the companion to a kukri not a mini kukri

  • I have a Kukhri and the small companion knife is ok but not to my liking. I will post mine when I have confirmed the design shape.

  • all right cant wait its your baby lol

  • sean ,love the knife but the Benny hill effects were great too,it just goes to prove the versatility of this knife

  • 5/5m8

  • awesome video sean!

    love the knife!

  • Damn, you camping out at the airport or something?

  • LMAO @ YOU!!!! I cant even move that fast on a good day. Great video Sean!!

  • LMAO

    plane

  • good knife

    good video

  • thank you so much for this vid. I was waiting for this specific instructional video.

  • I have a better spoon carving video on my channel already. It s more instructional than this one.
