The only way to save this economy is to close all tax holes within our Manufacturing industry and hit the companies that outysource our jobs to other countries. End of story.
The companies that outsource 'your' jobs are the companies that make 'your' jobs. What you want/need is a government job, manufacturing.... more government jobs. You know, like Obama.
"....And if nothing is done, this recession might linger for years. Our economy will lose 5 million more jobs. Unemployment will approach double digits."
Gee thanks O.... 787 Billion Stimulus later we've not only approched 10%, but blown past it with no end in sight. Nice call Barry... remind me not to have you pick my football sheet.

You can't just do what you wnazt to your body and expect others to pay . Smokers, fat people, and the lazy will be put at the end of the line - for their own goood. and finally people in need of sexchanges will be taken care of for free.
With cap and trade ---Obama said " under my plan energy prices would skyrocket". In order to sell your house it has to meet " green fuideines" should I sell now? I don't think I can afford a home AND obamacare, obama taxes and obamaenergy .
Let's do that math again, because it's so much fun. Our savior, 'the 1", the returned Christ to earth, our great leader, to whom young school children sing their praise, created a whopping 30,000 jobs. The cost of this massive job creation campaign? A mere $700 billion dollars.
That works out to, for the liberal socialists who can't do math except with other people's money, $23, 333, 333.00 per job created. I put it to you - could YOU create more than one job, w/ 23 million dollars!?
Bush, Bush, BushBullshit!!! You liberal fuckheads need to do some research. Check out Barney Frank and Subprime Mortgages during a democrat majority house and senate. Obama will enter the history books (at least REAL history books) as the worst fucking president in the history of America. He can bullshit but cannot plan a trip to the West Wing without a Czar.
411. This mess did not start under Barney Frank nor the Democrat majority that started in 2006. This was under Bush and his party since 2003 where all of this started along with some serious deregulation by the same party before that. Plus, Bush is currently the worst President in history.
This just gets better and better. So I take the 400 jobs that my plan would create, at $50,000.00 a job and multiply that by the 30,000 jobs that Obama saved or created. Guess how many jobs that works out to for 700 billion?
12 MILLION JOBS!!!!! That's right, w/ 700 billion dollars, at $50,000 dollars a job, & allowing for government bureaucracy, I would have been able to create 12 MILLION JOBS. That would easily have erased the over 8 million jobs lost, for a net creation of 4 million jobs!
Agreed, HemiHead66. The you-know-whos pointed to Carter and Clinton and Obama, never the other you-know-whos who were presidents. It wasn't the presidents who did this. It was the greed of the of those in charge of our so-called Free Market, which Republicans have turned into some kind of religion, I guess because Jesus has totally abandoned them.
A drunk drives his car into a tree, and you Libs argue the fuckin tree got in his way and sue the city. Grow the hell up and get an education in a form other than bumperstickers!!!

I estimate that with $23 million dollars, that I could create at least 400 jobs at $50,000 dollars each.
That's 400 times the efficiency of Obama's stimulus plan, and I'm just some guy - not a magnificent savior, nobel prize winner, head of the security council - none of that - and I could multiply his job creation by 400 times.
You try it. See how many jobs you could have created with the taxpayer money that went to Obama.
People who really believe this Democrat/Republican thing are pretty dumb. I don't see how you could see say 10 years of this system and still not know that you're being duped. First they run up the dummycrat flag and everyone votes. No one likes the results, so they run up the republicon flag and everyone votes. No one likes the results and so they recycle the ideas again.
But the main program continues from one administration to another.
Ya know - I don't know why people keep pointing to Clinton with this housing crises. You know when that original community reinvestment act was passed - 1977. Where were all the foreclosures then? It was Greenspan that encouraged the mass lending. And those rating agencies rating toxic securities - what A+. And Fannie and Freddy were probably the smallest players in this mess. Those investment banks caused way more problems. There's more than enough blame to go around.
no Fannie and Freddie were allowed to have VERY low liquidity and defended vigilantly by the democrats.
Fannie and Freddie BOUGHT the bad loans and offered many many more. When things went bust they repossessed houses, but they cant LOAN property.. only money. THUS it was called a liquidity crisis. And people panicked and sold.
had the democrats and groups like Acorn not pushed for low liquidity, bad loans for the "discriminated lower class" that couldnt afford it -this mess wouldnt be as bad!
It is sad to think there are still the idiots out there than continue to blame this on Bush. Hell, maybe we should start blaming Clinton on this as well, after all . . . nothing can be the fault of Obama. You hear his promise of the unemployment not going above 8% and yet you fail to hold him accountable for HIS promise when the unemployment goes above 10%. Why? All I ask if for everyone to hold each and every person in public office accountable for their broken promises.
30 years of Democrat policy Ha. We've had one Democrat President since Reagan was in office, and he passed the debt reduction act which wiped out the deficit. And every Republican voted against that debt reduction act. The Republicans were in control for the first 6 years of Reagan and all of George Bush. I think the Dems had some majority when H W Bush was in office. That's hardly mostly Democrat.
Actually Bill Clinton wanted to spend ALOT more. And because of lower taxed previously we had a great boon when Clinton was in office. He was able to raise them his second term while we had the great economy and DESPITE his spending we STILL were able to pay down the debt.
The dot come bust and downturn of 2001 did not help with Bush nor did 9/11. Sorry but less taxes HELPs, and the JOBS created pays down the debt.
Obama is doing EVERYTHING wrong to prevent job creation and debt reduction.
"all of George Bush". If you did further research you would know that from 2007-8 the Democrats gained the majority. Sir you are entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts.
411. Even though the Democrats had the majority in the House and Senate since 2006, most economists said that this entire mess started in 2003 along with some deregulation under the Republican majority before that.
Not even From June 2001 to December 2002... Robert Byrd was President of the Senate for a year and a half at that time as well. Of course Dems make the facts up as they go along... as long as some 18 year old schmuck will believe them in the next election and they think they can slide a 'fact' past them.
The Democrats didn't have majority of shit after 2006. The senate was split evenly. Lieberman is not no independent that sides with the Democrats. The Republicans even got him re-elected. He cut a deal with the Democrats to keep his title/whatever in exchange for votes on certain things. We all know how that turned out. I got an e-mail the other day wanting signatures to force Democrats to strip his stinking ass. And Pelosi couldn't even pass a bill in 2008 to stop speculation in oil futures.
Yeah! So what you're telling me is that -when I look up the senate results for Democrats & Republicans on Wiki - these 2 are not included in that total?
Get a life pecker-head. Ya know - I would've thought a political tiger like yourself would be jumping at the chance to prove me wrong. Looks like you're all talk.
Obama is right to take tax payer's money to subsidize Healthcare and pay those big Pharma. In the future, US will continue to be the number producer of miracle pills. I am glad I am in the health care indutry.
Some things to think about are things like Christmas, I think we will hear about businesses closing the week after Thanksgiving. Businesses are holding on just to see how shoping goes, if its bad they will fold before the end of the year.
Another thing is the cap and trade and health care bills. Even though these are just bills in congress alot of businsses are playing "wait and see". If they pass, some will close, and if they fail businesses can advance without worry of higher taxes.
Congratulations Obama on another Lie! You told us that the 1 trillon dollar stimulus was going to save jobs! If that is so, why has unemployment gone from 7.5 when you took over, to 10%? Oh another LIE! I'm tired of Fucken bull shit Democrats who want to spend our money to create their government jobs. Close down the government and all the welfare givings so you can lower taxes and allow businesses to grow and prosper.
well, if it wasnt for retarded republicans we wouldnt be in this mess, and what if he didnt impose the stimulus package? we would probably be at a 20-25 percent unemployment rate. You cant expect recovery to be a light switch, its not like "boom its fixed", it takes more than a year to fix 8 years of republican non-sense.
Here, I'll help 4.4% with... 34 average hours worked.
Now we're at 10.2 with 33 average hours worked. That is a jump of 141 Million man hours LOST... per week.... AND 5.8% higher Unemployment since Dems took over Congress.
You're an idiot. It was a combination of retarded politicians, from both parties who made this mess. If you look past all the b.s. spin coming from the controlled media, we're almost at 20% unemployment right now. Obama told us unemployment wouldn't rise over the 8% mark. Now it's over 10 percent (officially).
I'm not sure whether or not you can do the math, but how many created or saved jobs does that make out of over 8 million lost?
Let's see- 700 billion dollars, for (& many of these jobs were later found to be fraudulently posted), 30,000 jobs were created.
So, under the Obama stimulus, you have created a whopping 30,000 jobs, at a cost to taxpayers of a mere: $23, 333, 333.00. That's over 23 million dollars a job! AND, many of the job creation claims were fabrications, so it likely cost MORE than 23 MILLION DOLLARS PER JOB!
Tell you what: you give me 700 BILLION DOLLARS & see if I can't create more than 30,000 jobs.
Okay, the green shoots are astro turf planted like evidence at a crime scene. The idea that unemployment is a 'lagging indicator' is complete crap in a SERVICE AND CONSUMER BASED ECONOMY. (Had to say what the nitwits wouldn't). And, any recovery scenario, which ignores record deficits and debt, swine flu and carbon taxes, is little more than a fairy tale.
Wait till Christmas - if Santa doesn't show, then it's 6 more months of depression.
Imagine when the inevitable inflation hits. The ol' Zimbabwe 100 trillion dollar bill will look like it actually has value. The Nitwit-in-Chief can't print money at will forever. He can't make government jobs that get taxed 20%, but cost 100% plus a pension forever.
Instantaneously. So which year of his presidency does this idiot actually get this done? The nitwit gets handed a Democrat Supermajority congress and he wiffs yet again.
But dustinallen1982, with $800 billion it should taken less than 30 days. Obama has givenKenya more than he has pump from the stimulus into the ecomony.
8 years of Bush got in this mess, and after a year of Obama trying to get us out of this mess and all we hear is "Obama sucks", get educated, it takes more than a year to fix 8 years of non-sense. Bush sucks. Obama is doing the hardest job in the country right now, if all you nitwits think you can do better run for fucking president.
hey "dustin" i've got an idea, why don't you shut your goddamn mouth up? your boy obama has NOT fixed the economy, he's made it worse, and people are having a hard time finding work, so why don't you take your opinion and shove it right up your fucking ass? thanks.
Yeah! Obama walked into office at the start of a massive downturn. What do think he's a magician? Do you really think the Republicans would've fixed this by now with tax cuts for people that don't even have a job to get a tax cut? Look how long it took to come out of the depression. Obama's been in office for 10 months. You're not even giving it a chance. You've got such a massive hard-on for Obama that everything he does is not good enough.
Rahm ( dead fish ) <" never waste a crisis, it allows you to get things done that under normal circumstances people would never go for". Obama should send Bush a thank you note.
Wow, good way to present a argument, where do u think we would be right now if a republican was in office? Alot worse off than we are now. And i know people are having a hard time finding work, im one of them, i have been laid off for over a year now, i even moved me and my family 800 miles cause i thought there would be more work here, but theres not, so dont act like i dont know the eco. is in trouble, i just think we are better off now than what we would of been with mccain
well, we aren't better off. unemployment is rising. all this bullshit that obama feeds you every day about how he's fixing the economy is lies. the proof is in the pudding and all i see is people with no fucking jobs and i'm trying to find a GD job myself.
Yeah - and Bush's economy was built on credit - then the bottom fell out. But I guess you're to stupid to know what bubble & bust looks like when it's smacking ya in the face.
Did you ever stop to think that maybe there are some here who know half truths and innuendo and outright lies when they see them? Maybe what seems like facts to you, just looks like bullshit to others.
When do you get the rest of that head? (At least you have and excuse for being wrongalot.)
I've always had a problem with that - big government line. What do you mean by you don't want big Government? You want to let these bastards on Wall Street rob us blind? I can't even count all the lawsuits since the tech-wreck. Who's going take care of all of this shit? You want me to go down there with my Smith & Wesson .45 my Glock .40 and my 12 gauge and take care of it myself?
Ya know - the only thing that's bad about our Government is the people that are running it. Our Government is supposed to look out for our best interest. But all they do is look out for their best interest. And the corporate machines best interest.
And lets not forget those Bush tax cuts that added about 2+ trillion in debt. His corporate pals used them to move overseas. Now we pay to fire ourselves.
Those tax cuts are destroying this country. You can't keep cutting taxes while spending out your ass. Tax cuts are what we need to make our companies competitive - but you can't do it with a war party that wants to rule the world. And in the 80's congress asked us to start paying more into social security than the system would pay out so the Gov would have the borrowing capacity to fund the baby boomers retirement. You know what they did with the surplus - tax cuts for the rich. Now SS is broke.
then why don't you clam up about tax cuts and start decrying all the spending the gov is doing?! you sound like you want HUGE government and lower middle class status for everyone. you people exhaust me.
I'm not bitching about Obama's spending because he doesn't have much of a choice. If he didn't bail out those banks the Gov would've had to fork over way more in people's savings and checking accounts. And Obama's looking out for the future. This country has been neglected for far to long. Other countries are going to piss all over us. All our infrastructure is outdated and falling apart. All we spend on is defense. Go look at the Republicans budget proposal. Cut everything except for defense.
Why bother working? 2 years unemployment benefits, cash for clunkers, 8000 for a house at market price in Detroit, food samps, free cell phone, free health care coming up! I urgent everyone to quit! Obama will take care of us all! If you have workers, fire them. Let's take it easy, vacations for everyone! Go USSA!

Now we're at 10.2 with 33 average hours worked. That is a jump of 141 Million man hours LOST... per week.... AND 5.8% higher Unemployment since Dems took over Congress.
threeddd33 2 years ago
You're an idiot. It was a combination of retarded politicians, from both parties who made this mess. If you look past all the b.s. spin coming from the controlled media, we're almost at 20% unemployment right now. Obama told us unemployment wouldn't rise over the 8% mark. Now it's over 10 percent (officially).
I'm not sure whether or not you can do the math, but how many created or saved jobs does that make out of over 8 million lost?
TheSharpenedPen 2 years ago
TheSharpenedPen 2 years ago
You think 10.2% is bad?
Wait until the stimulus money runs out and all those temporary jobs come stand in the unemployment line.
SENTRY000 2 years ago
Na, it's not going to run out. Government is printing money like crazy. Did you see the price of gasoline?
Civsuccess2 2 years ago
Okay, the green shoots are astro turf planted like evidence at a crime scene. The idea that unemployment is a 'lagging indicator' is complete crap in a SERVICE AND CONSUMER BASED ECONOMY. (Had to say what the nitwits wouldn't). And, any recovery scenario, which ignores record deficits and debt, swine flu and carbon taxes, is little more than a fairy tale.
Wait till Christmas - if Santa doesn't show, then it's 6 more months of depression.
TheSharpenedPen 2 years ago 2
Now that the economy passed that pyshcological barrier that means that Obama now owns this reccession.
abarzilai664 2 years ago
He owned it when he got his 787 billion stimulus that he said would keep us below 8% unemployment. 3+ million job losses later......

You'll hear that a lot on the street with 10.2% unemployment. Look for the guy with the cup.

you can thank congress, the federal reserve and the treasury department!

Imagine when the inevitable inflation hits. The ol' Zimbabwe 100 trillion dollar bill will look like it actually has value. The Nitwit-in-Chief can't print money at will forever. He can't make government jobs that get taxed 20%, but cost 100% plus a pension forever.
threeddd33 2 years ago
So on the front page of Yahoo is the AP news headline: "Unemployment nears 10 pct. as rebound remains slow"
Let me get this straight: The the unemployment rate is the worst in 70 years (if you look at the last 22 months)
and the value of the dollar SUCKS and the title of the AP / Yahoo news article implies we're "rebounding ?" This is doublespeak NONSENSE.
We're not as stupid as the junk propaganda the media tries to feed us.

A freight train can't stop instantaneously.
wafflethug 2 years ago 2
Instantaneously. So which year of his presidency does this idiot actually get this done? The nitwit gets handed a Democrat Supermajority congress and he wiffs yet again.
threeddd33 2 years ago
it takes more than a year to recover 8 years of Bush
dustinallen1982 2 years ago
But dustinallen1982, with $800 billion it should taken less than 30 days. Obama has givenKenya more than he has pump from the stimulus into the ecomony.

Maybe if it crashes head on into an oncoming freight train.

obama sucks, he can't get results
arequipa1 2 years ago 5
8 years of Bush got in this mess, and after a year of Obama trying to get us out of this mess and all we hear is "Obama sucks", get educated, it takes more than a year to fix 8 years of non-sense. Bush sucks. Obama is doing the hardest job in the country right now, if all you nitwits think you can do better run for fucking president.
dustinallen1982 2 years ago
As the 8 years of Clinton in to the mess bush was in.
As the mess Clinton was in from the Bush before him....
and so on and so no... it's damn George Washington mess.
If the unemployment was at 10% when Obama stepped into office, it's Bush mess. if it wasn't it's Obama's mess.
Obama took $800 billion to creat jobs. But won't use it. He needs to take all of it and stop nickel and dime'ing the nation.
MrSTANDFORAMERICA 2 years ago
hey "dustin" i've got an idea, why don't you shut your goddamn mouth up? your boy obama has NOT fixed the economy, he's made it worse, and people are having a hard time finding work, so why don't you take your opinion and shove it right up your fucking ass? thanks.
arequipa1 2 years ago
How is Obama making the economy worse? He's the first person I've seen in years to protect an American job.
HemiHead66 2 years ago
boy are you ever CLUELESS!!!!!!!
TEN PERCENT UNEMPLOYMENT YOU FOOL!
does that mean ANYTHING TO YOU!?
arequipa1 2 years ago
HemiHead66 2 years ago
Rahm ( dead fish ) <" never waste a crisis, it allows you to get things done that under normal circumstances people would never go for". Obama should send Bush a thank you note.
sunshinyday11 2 years ago
Wow, good way to present a argument, where do u think we would be right now if a republican was in office? Alot worse off than we are now. And i know people are having a hard time finding work, im one of them, i have been laid off for over a year now, i even moved me and my family 800 miles cause i thought there would be more work here, but theres not, so dont act like i dont know the eco. is in trouble, i just think we are better off now than what we would of been with mccain
dustinallen1982 2 years ago
well, we aren't better off. unemployment is rising. all this bullshit that obama feeds you every day about how he's fixing the economy is lies. the proof is in the pudding and all i see is people with no fucking jobs and i'm trying to find a GD job myself.
arequipa1 2 years ago
December 2006 Republican Congress, Republican President. Unemployment 4.4%
2007-2009 Republican President.... Democrat Congress
Unemployment 4.6 to 7.8%
10 months of 2009... Democrat President, Democrat Congress,
Unemployment 7.8-10.2%
threeddd33 2 years ago
Yeah - and Bush's economy was built on credit - then the bottom fell out. But I guess you're to stupid to know what bubble & bust looks like when it's smacking ya in the face.
HemiHead66 2 years ago
my god you're silly. his economy was built on credit. LMAO

I think you need to do a little more homework. You don't have the slightest clue what you're talking about. It's called imaginary wealth.

It's funny how I can state facts all day long and be wrong all of the time. I think I'll take that advice.
HemiHead66 2 years ago
Did you ever stop to think that maybe there are some here who know half truths and innuendo and outright lies when they see them? Maybe what seems like facts to you, just looks like bullshit to others.
When do you get the rest of that head? (At least you have and excuse for being wrongalot.)
NotEasilyRegimented 2 years ago
Well - I've got an idea. Why don't you point out something I'm wrong about.

HemiHead66 2 years ago
Ya know - the only thing that's bad about our Government is the people that are running it. Our Government is supposed to look out for our best interest. But all they do is look out for their best interest. And the corporate machines best interest.
HemiHead66 2 years ago
And lets not forget those Bush tax cuts that added about 2+ trillion in debt. His corporate pals used them to move overseas. Now we pay to fire ourselves.
HemiHead66 2 years ago
lol you're one of those assclowns who doesn't like tax cuts. i think you need to get an education beyond the 12th grade. then get back to me.
arequipa1 2 years ago
Those tax cuts are destroying this country. You can't keep cutting taxes while spending out your ass. Tax cuts are what we need to make our companies competitive - but you can't do it with a war party that wants to rule the world. And in the 80's congress asked us to start paying more into social security than the system would pay out so the Gov would have the borrowing capacity to fund the baby boomers retirement. You know what they did with the surplus - tax cuts for the rich. Now SS is broke.
HemiHead66 2 years ago
then why don't you clam up about tax cuts and start decrying all the spending the gov is doing?! you sound like you want HUGE government and lower middle class status for everyone. you people exhaust me.
arequipa1 2 years ago
I'm not bitching about Obama's spending because he doesn't have much of a choice. If he didn't bail out those banks the Gov would've had to fork over way more in people's savings and checking accounts. And Obama's looking out for the future. This country has been neglected for far to long. Other countries are going to piss all over us. All our infrastructure is outdated and falling apart. All we spend on is defense. Go look at the Republicans budget proposal. Cut everything except for defense.
HemiHead66 2 years ago
Have you noticed that they're still in effect?
