When I first heard this song on the Thriller 25 CD.  I cried like a baby, I have loved Michael Jackson since I was 4 years old and I still love him and I am 28 years old. I love this song but I know Michael's voice from every age. He made this during the Dangerous era not the Thriller era but they put on Thriller 25 and said it was from the Thriller sessions. i thought that it was a version he did for the 'thriller' re-release, but the song was originally written for thriller. but since you mentioned it, the arrangement does sound as if it's from the dangerous era (or at least between bad and dangerous)... you are quite perceptive there...
