  • can you do a hockey stop on regular rollerblades?

  • i can do a t stop i don't know why i am more comfortable with heel brake stop

  • @slayer21737 : T-stop is harder for balancing than the Heel brake stop. And it is not as efficient, but it is a great way to slow yourself. Keep practicing and it will get better and better.

  • every time i do that i end of turning nd falling

  • @ezefamousotimido : That is very common. There are 3 things you need to look at and correct to avoid this happening:

    1) Your leading skate (front foot) should be on a slight outside edge

    2) 90% of your weight should be on the leading foot

    3) Do not let your shoulder open themselves. Good trick is to keep both arms forward with your shoulders straight (facing the dirrection of travel)

    Good luck!

    Regards,

    Quentin

  • Hey could you post videos of more advanced stopping techniques? You mentioned a powerslide.

  • @graemegalloway : Will try to find the time (to take the time).

  • Man iwish people rollerbladed in san luis az:(

  • omfg is that hyde park and the serpentine???

    i skate there!!! eek!!

  • @Joejonash : Yes it is Hyde Park, Serpentine road. It is the Hub for skaters in London.

I teach there all the time. If you need any advice just give me a buzz. My mobile phone is on my website: skatefit.co.uk

  • Is this hyde park?

  • But how to stop when u skating from the hill at high speed. I tried this technique and almost killed myself.

  • @AdamDamski it can get tricky indeed. they are other ways of stopping. some of them are quite an advance level though. Might want to learn to powerslide. fairly easy one and it is efficient!

  • i like the demonstration , very clear action speaks . HYde park thats where i do my roller as well:))

  • doesn't that wear out your wheels from the sides?

  • @manns101101 Yep, it really does. My wheels wore out in a matter of months by doing T-stops.

  • @manns101101

when they wear out, I just flip them over and use the other side.

  • @manns101101 Yes it does. wheels can be replaced easily though

  • Exuse me Mr 1Karazi, I am not your "dude".

Explaing the moves is indeed more helpfull and I intend to put other videos that would do that in the future.

If you are located in London, you could of course take a lesson with me and all your questions about skating would be answered.

If you have any particular problem in your skating just send me a message and I will try to answer you.

    Regards,

    Quentin

  • thanks dude for showing me this instead of working ur mouth. this makes it so much easier to understand
