I finally installed mine. After 1 hour of 4-letter language, I had to come back here to refer to your vids again. It's very important to note that you shouldn't just start jamming those hex-head screws in...you run a good chance of pressing into the rubber grommits and pushing them right out of the mounting hole...and having them fall INTO your front fender. When that happens, it's a royal beeyotch to fish them out. Go slow and line up your holes. God bless these 3 vids.
It's important to note on this windshield, it not only increases the height of the wind flow over the rider, but also to the sides. For taller folks, sometimes they'll get one of those small add-on deflectors to put on top of the stock wind-shield. This will help push the air over, but the air will still come around the screen and smack your helmet in the sides. The end result is that there is less wind force in your face, but you still get a lot of wind noise in your ears.
David- Nice illustration . I have a 06 400S Burgman and i live in Fl. I take off the Givi shield every spring and put on the stock one for summer riding .. Looks about the same except for the 2 braces in the shield goin to the side ... I love my Givi ..
Hey thank's david, I'm just about to buy a burgman 400, and like you want to fit a givi screen to it , now thank's to you I can with confidence. thank's again buddy. T.C. isle of wight uk.
Thanks Dave. I got a Givi windshield for my 400 for Christmas and just finished installing it. (I'm in Wisconsin and it's a little chilly..10 degrees this morning. Thank goodness for garages). And thank goodness for this video. You saved me to tons of time. Too bad I have to wait until spring to try it out!
Have to thank you for these videos! I was actually just trying to figure out how to remove that top front fairing piece, and had not thought of just yanking on the console part to find bolts.
Thanks. I am installing mine on my 08 Burgman tomorrow.
