what the fuck? why would you mount two M-16's? A M-16 lower with the Ares Shrike system turns it into a belt fed, roaring m249 substitute for cheaper than a 249, or twin m-16's.....
Wasn't an M-16 with a drum magazine used by one of the Hollywood shootout bank robbers? The one where the perps used body armor which helped them shoot it out with police officers even with them out of cover.
Wait a minute....... "I want a mount to hold two of those together on a boat" This guy is basically asking to mount two M16's together to serve as a light machine gun. Isn't this why we have the M249???
he said it because the m16 is know as the m16 but when you say ak it can mean alot it can mean ak47,ak74,ak100,akm,type 56 etc if you say m16 you mean m16 the ak is easily confused if you see an ak74 and you dont know anything youll call it an ak47 which is wrong but if you see an m16 you call it an m16 thats all that he means by the "single" most iconic weapon by single he means under one name
@ebitheviper I love AR's and these types of rifles but when I heard him say that on TV I pretty much was like yeah haha that's a bunch of biased BS. We all know what #1 iconic weapon in the world is...
The episodes where they are called upon to make an M-16 that can withstand the rigors of desert environment and fine sand, protecting Nuclear facilities. Very high drama in making this weapon, which BTW already exists in the HK-416. Already in the military arsenal folks. You can bury it in sand or sumerged in muck and mire and it functions flawlessly without the breech jamming or heating up. You can fire 100 rounds through it and immediately put you hand on the breech. Cold to the touch.
@TankyRampage ~ NO S/HIT Sherlock! Having been a military armorer and gunsmith, I am well aware of Heckler & Koch being a German company (as does most of the known world). They also have made a superior weapon for the task at hand. Why re-invent the wheel or steal some already patented idea. Now if they innovate or improve the existing design, then that's another story. But that dumbass Chris won't be the tool to do it.
@RHard1954 dude haven you heard red jacket invented the gun. and especially the 416 once their done building this revolutionary weapon they are gunna sue the morons at h&k..jk lol this guy need to go back to the swamp and fondle their daughter like his redneck brethren
@killswitch001 What a load of BS. H&K's proprietary gas system was developed for their G26 AR (1992) and was adopted for use in the HK416 in 2004. Red Jacket just celebrated their 10th year in operation. They had only been in business for about 3 years and confined to gun sales and gunsmithing operations. No patented gun designs at all. What a moroon...
@killswitch001 Tat's goo to hear. BTW, the HK416 is used by the DELTA FORCE and is in our weapons inventory, mainly because, as NATO allies, Germany shares with us and we with them. If the people guarding the Nuclear Plants knew this, they would only have to apply to Homeland Security for a weapons upgrade. Problem solved, without involving a third party contractor such as Redjacket.
@RHard1954 Not to mention this 'ground breaking gas piston AR' they 'engineered' has been around for years...producing the most hillarious Sons of Guns episodes to date! Just watched the one last nite where Kris is given the project and fails to make an operating AR, its handed to Vince who ALSO fails to make the gun fire more than 1 round, finally when Will is handing this untested pieced together BS to 'the General' he tells him its been tested and verified most reliable rifle ever made. lol
@psnflak88 What about the Saiga junk that Will has such a hard-on for, which apparently he buys, puts his special 'Red Jacket muzzle brake' on, and then sells for 3 times retail?
@davids11131113 ''What about the Saiga junk that Will has such a hard-on for, which apparently he buys, puts his special 'Red Jacket muzzle brake' on, and then sells for 3 times retail?''
@speedy02 tell me about it. this show is only for luring 10-year olds into loving guns (which they probably dd in forehand). these guys make stupid and useless shit. e.g when the hole show was aobut an m203 costing some thousands. well thye got a 37mm flare gun thats basicly useless( and costs about 100 o 200). every time is see this show they play awesome and badass, when all they do is tyring to fuck us up
@PowderedAsh you have to google it but it was on tv. IDK who owns red Jacket now but will and steph can never be lic.again
@PowderedAsh blew my mind. but thats TV. for you. Will and Stephanie can never ever own a gun business again ever. they can only manage it. But they play it off like they do.
Whenever you watch a video on YouTube, everyone who watches it seems to become an instant expert in that field. Watch a gun video, everyone in the comments is a gun expert with their own expert suggestions. Watch a car video, suddenly everyone knows anything and everything about cars and everyone has a $100,000+ car in their garage. Watch a.... etc. When really majority of the people are just a bunch of complete morons with stupid opinions lol.
@DanToretto1 so you're telling me there smart for testing the ballistic of the 7.62x39 using a fish tank what about selling a saiga for 50% more than a standard one or saying that they are the first to EVER make a suppressor for the saiga-12 and again said the m-16 is the most iconic assault rifle
@DanToretto1 I don't understand your post, that doesn't make sense to say as they are all not the same person. People who are dedicated in a field will watch the videos within it and comment
@SoapMactavish99 Absolutely. Knowledgeable people watch car videos and gun videos and whatever else. But that's not the majority. It's a very low percent who ACTUALLY know what they're talking about. The majority don't. That's all I was saying.
@knigthfigth I mean obviously yeah, the AK-47 is a globally well recognized gun. But I know plenty of people who haven't a clue what an AK-47 is and if they saw one they wouldn't know it by name and would just think it was some random gun. On the contrary, I've never met a single person who didn't know what an M16 is and if they saw one they'd immediately know what it was. It may vary in different areas which one is more well known, but I'd say overall among the entire world, M16 takes it.
every single person I know instantly imagines an AK whenever a gun is mentioned, it's even funny because whenever somebody mentions a gun they're like "oh an AK-47?" I'm not quite sure they even know what it looks like though, more likely they think they sound smart by repeating a word they picked up on TV.
So the US Navy River Boat Unit that is part of SOCOM is using a small private business for a weapon that is an infantry rifle to do a job I imagine the M134, M2 Browning and M240 already mounted on their boats were incapable of providing?
@DamazViccar Yeah I know but US NAVY! River boat unit is not a private military company, it is a unit of the US Navy. Private Contractors would use m240 or the SAW. Two M16 ties together is pointless.
It would be more precise, especially with the 3-round salvo mode and some properly mounted sight, but what do you need that increase in accuracy for while riding the waves?
Right! This show is utter bullshit. That weapon, if you can even call it that was a complete joke, not too mention the scene was staged. The Navy has 249's and 240's for a reason.
ONLY RELIABLE FULL-AUTO RUGER 10/22 .22LR SUB MACHINE GUN ON THIS EARTH. We are living in the 'golden age' of firearm design & modification. Look at this wild thing on my YouTube. GSV sells a DVD video explaining an easy way the convert any semi-auto Ruger 10/22 rifle into a true full-auto. All other Ruger full-auto conversions suffer from 'bolt-bounce / light-strikes' which cause many malfunctions. GSV conversions have been tested with no malfunctions.
hold on, none of the terminology he used was anything i have ever heard... is the guy swcc or just riverine? it showed swcc boats but made him sound like a GM in a rivron.
i really dont get this, they could have just dual mounted 2, belt fed m240 bravos or m249 saw's and it would have been a lot easier... probably wouldn't need all the cooling crap either
@NovaScotiaNewfie Riverine's . But this show is full of bs anyhow especially that "L.T" character wearin old bdu's. Try too hard to make it "real' and interesting, still a decent thing to watch if your board.
red jacket sucks .id never let them touch my guns. half of there build didnt even work . the balistic knife , the floating gun ,4 guns for the black customer was a huge failure and the gatlin shotgun was the biggest joke ever. they couldnt make one so the welded three shot guns together that spins with clips ! lol and that bitch who works up front is so stuck up .she aint shit
Jesus people stop being a smartass by correcting everything the guy says, if you know more about guns then start your own damn business instead of making a rage comment on fucking youtube
@MrToinou2706 ..But when have you seen an accurate shot from an AK???? hmmmmmmm.. NEVER!!!!!! and a 5.56 will always be more accurate than a 7.62... not stronger but more accurate..
@MrToinou2706 Again there is no bullet that is described by "5.56". The one you mean is is the 5.56x45mm NATO. There are a few "sniper" rifles that use that bullet. Most noteably, the Remington 700 uses it. The 700 is chambered in a several dozen or so calibers from the .17 rem to the .458 WM (that's 12.2mm to compare it to your "7.62") the .300 Wim Mag and .300 WSM (also "7.62") are very popular with this gun.
@MrToinou2706 The bullet is by no means the deciding factor for if a weapon is accurate. The tollerances of the working parts, the quality of the barrel, the quality of the scope. It all matters. Also the "7.62" is not a bullet. The 7.62x39 is (used by the AK-47, SKS, etc.), the 7.62x51 NATO (used by countless weapons. This is probably the bullet you think of for your "sniper" rifles.), then there is the 7.62x54R (used by the Mosin Nagant. the "R" stands for rimmed.). The list goes on and on.
@MrToinou2706 Well I am thankfull for the disambiguation on that. I was not sure if you were simply ignorant of the facts or an arrogant 12 year old that plays too much CoD. Now that that's out of the way I must say that you have no idea what you are talking about and are just making a fool of yourself. Don't worry though. You will probably grow up one day.
@MrToinou2706 7.62x39 is different than 7.62x51 NATO kid. There are countless bolt action rifles in the US that shoot .223 rem, and any one of them could be used to lay you out at 700m. Full size .30 cals are used by snipers because the heavier rounds are less affected by wind. On a windless day though, 5.56x45 is typically a very accurate cartridge, unlike 7.62x39, which is too slow, and manufactured to too loose of tolerances to be serious calibre choice past 400m.
@MrToinou2706 In cartrige nomenclature there are two numbers that describe a bullet. The first number is the diameter of the bullet in milimeters. The second number is the length of the case in milimeters. I count 24 7.62mm (.300 caliber) in my reloading manul. That does not even count the pistol calibers or the Ackley improved designs. When you say " 7.62 kicks a 5.56's ass when it comes down to accuracy." you are just listing numbers. *Sighs* Lowlanders
AK47 yes it's probably up there. the uzi on the other hand is crap, haven't done anything remarkable og been produced in great numbers. And .44 magnum is ammunition, not a weapon.
a proper list over the most iconic guns would have the AK-47, mauser K98, mosin nagant, M2 brwoning, MG42, M1911 and so on. ALL of which have seen active duties in proper big wars and have proved themselfs. the AR15 plattform actually deserves a spot there since all western countries has some of them
@123123ofno I agree the uzi is not a good weapon, but there is no doubt that it iconic. I said the .44 magnum (anaconda) because three people beaked me off last time when I said the m1911 was the perfect posterboy of handguns. Oh, and the m60 should be in that list too even though it is being phased out now.
The AK has certainly killed the most people on Earth out of any assault rifle, there is really no disputing that. Mainly because it's been used in every Asian and African conflict over the past 60 years.
So they really just put extra work into this, they could have used gas piston uppers and heavier barrels really, only thing left is a mount that they should have made for the rails so if they have to bail the boat, they can dismount the rifles and carry they. Really just a painful episode to watch...
What is he talking about? Will apparently has never heard of the Colt M16 A2 LMG. The US Navy can't afford M249s??? Maybe the US Navy spent all their funding accommodating their Sub fleet so we can have complete sexual equality in the military, well of course except for the draft.
Umm idk i think the AK-47 is the most iconic weapon in the world

ONLY RELIABLE FULL-AUTO RUGER 10/22 .22LR SUB MACHINE GUN ON THIS EARTH. We are living in the 'golden age' of firearm design & modification. Look at this wild thing on my YouTube. GSV sells a DVD video explaining an easy way the convert any semi-auto Ruger 10/22 rifle into a true full-auto. All other Ruger full-auto conversions suffer from 'bolt-bounce / light-strikes' which cause many malfunctions. GSV conversions have been tested with no malfunctions.

This is some silly shit. Real police and military can go buy an M240 or a SAW if they want. No need to fuck around with an m16.

@falloutforever88 AK is on a country's flag ---> AK winzorz, hands down.
(Among other things. The M16 is about as iconic on the world-scale as the FN FAL line.)

i really dont get this, they could have just dual mounted 2, belt fed m240 bravos or m249 saw's and it would have been a lot easier... probably wouldn't need all the cooling crap either
silverbullet211 4 months ago
@silverbullet211 They'd probably need more with two of those babies. It would be much more efficient and easier to do though :/

@silverbullet211 Those barrels can get pretty hot too. I shot both of those M240 and the M249.

i'd say M1911 pistol and the .50cal M2 are way more iconic than the M16

@MrToinou2706 trtue true true... russians have that.. but come on!!! M-16 AR-15!!! you gotta love the accuracy....... lol
Rare387 6 months ago
@Rare387 7.62 kicks a 5.56's ass when it comes down to accuracy..
MrToinou2706 6 months ago
@MrToinou2706 ..But when have you seen an accurate shot from an AK???? hmmmmmmm.. NEVER!!!!!! and a 5.56 will always be more accurate than a 7.62... not stronger but more accurate..
Rare387 6 months ago
@Rare387 if it was more accurate why would they use 7.62 for some snipers instead of 5.56
MrToinou2706 6 months ago
@MrToinou2706 ........easy... by choice..... snipers also use .50cal for example.. and other sizes.. depends on the sniper
......
Rare387 6 months ago
@Rare387 name a REAL sniper, not a m16 with a mounted scope, that uses a 5.56 then.
MrToinou2706 6 months ago
@MrToinou2706 Again there is no bullet that is described by "5.56". The one you mean is is the 5.56x45mm NATO. There are a few "sniper" rifles that use that bullet. Most noteably, the Remington 700 uses it. The 700 is chambered in a several dozen or so calibers from the .17 rem to the .458 WM (that's 12.2mm to compare it to your "7.62") the .300 Wim Mag and .300 WSM (also "7.62") are very popular with this gun.

@MrToinou2706
Sniper RIFLE. A sniper is a person, not a gun.

NoahWillie 6 months ago
@NoahWillie well doesn't that suck for you.
MrToinou2706 6 months ago
@MrToinou2706 The bullet is by no means the deciding factor for if a weapon is accurate. The tollerances of the working parts, the quality of the barrel, the quality of the scope. It all matters. Also the "7.62" is not a bullet. The 7.62x39 is (used by the AK-47, SKS, etc.), the 7.62x51 NATO (used by countless weapons. This is probably the bullet you think of for your "sniper" rifles.), then there is the 7.62x54R (used by the Mosin Nagant. the "R" stands for rimmed.). The list goes on and on.
rj2239x 6 months ago
@rj2239x no shit im talking about the NATO ones dumb fuck
MrToinou2706 6 months ago
@MrToinou2706 Well I am thankfull for the disambiguation on that. I was not sure if you were simply ignorant of the facts or an arrogant 12 year old that plays too much CoD. Now that that's out of the way I must say that you have no idea what you are talking about and are just making a fool of yourself. Don't worry though. You will probably grow up one day.
rj2239x 6 months ago

M16 is not the most iconic gun.
DARKSTAR13SPENCER 6 months ago
Most iconic guns in history: In order of size,
Ak47
Uzi
.44 magnum
Most iconic for being a PoS: m16
Ato0theJ 6 months ago
@Ato0theJ
ALL of which have seen active duties in proper big wars and have proved themselfs. the AR15 plattform actually deserves a spot there since all western countries has some of them
123123ofno 6 months ago
@123123ofno I agree the uzi is not a good weapon, but there is no doubt that it iconic. I said the .44 magnum (anaconda) because three people beaked me off last time when I said the m1911 was the perfect posterboy of handguns. Oh, and the m60 should be in that list too even though it is being phased out now.
Ato0theJ 6 months ago
i believe the most iconic gun is not the ak47 or m16. i believe the luger or the smith and wesson
waddlingwookie 6 months ago
@waddlingwookie Smith and Wesson is not a gun. It's a brand name.
iamsmert123 6 months ago
The AK has certainly killed the most people on Earth out of any assault rifle, there is really no disputing that. Mainly because it's been used in every Asian and African conflict over the past 60 years.
jshreck 6 months ago
So they really just put extra work into this, they could have used gas piston uppers and heavier barrels really, only thing left is a mount that they should have made for the rails so if they have to bail the boat, they can dismount the rifles and carry they. Really just a painful episode to watch...

What is he talking about? Will apparently has never heard of the Colt M16 A2 LMG. The US Navy can't afford M249s??? Maybe the US Navy spent all their funding accommodating their Sub fleet so we can have complete sexual equality in the military, well of course except for the draft.
