  • awsome! do you have the dvd? and if so, should i buy it, i allways wanted to know how to play like loomis. :)

  • Yeah,Im done w/it,Its from Guitar world and has a bunch of guys on it,PM me ur address and I`ll mail it to ya..on me;-)

  • @paraglidermx ur the man!!!!!!!!!!

  • @JulianTheGuitarist noone can play like Loomis cuz no one can get his intentions, instincts, feel right. As a guitarist myself I'm gonna tell you this. You should never try to play exactly like other players. You can play the exacts notes but you can put ur own feel to it. Keep on practicing and you will find your own style which is even better.

  • @lovepuremetal5 trying to emulate others is a great way to gain control over your instrument... if you can understand the specific things that make for example John Petrucci sound different from Jeff Loomis, by trying to play exactly like both of them and comparing, you'll get a better understanding of how different picking, vibrato etc. changes your sound, and learn more about playing as a result. It's always hard to emulate a guitarist but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try.
