@mrgiskard He doesn't, actually. In fact, he plays his role quite well. He's a supporter of the Burnistoun South fraction. Note how they shake heads at the opposing fraction and laugh at whatever their candidate says.

I really like that sketch. It's weird how realistic it feels in contrast to most other sketches. They do speak like politicians, they're not exaggerated but pretty much drawn to scale and it all fits; I'm not from Scotland but over here politics are exactly like that.
