Still a good overall analysis of each side, though.
As far as I know Asia has most powerful army in the world. Powerfull than NATO and Warsaw Pact (I'm from Poland btw. :P ) I think China and Korea would crush us all, I know that's sad, but that's the reality :(

NATO did not have a big army because there were not as many people and resources to have a large army. Draft ended in 1973 in the USA. Most forces in NATO used volunteer forces with drafts being obsolete in the 70's. USSR had full conscription. Its military manpower far exceded that of NATO.

Red Alert is a campy, unrealistic WW2 Alternate history in which Einstein goes back in time to kill Hitler and prevent WW2, then shit happens with the Soviet Union.
World in Conflict is realistic; it's a Cold War AH in which the Soviet Union invades Europe in the 80s, followed by the US. WiC has COMPLETELY different gameplay, to boot.
Well, you have the right idea about WiC. Although, the Soviet Union did have a "back up plan" so to speak. Which happened to be very close to the main idea of WiC. They WERE going to invade the Rhine River Valley into Switzerland and France for resources. But, they absolutely NEVER planned on invading North America. this was all a very extreme "Last resort plan though.
Invading the U.S. from the West would be a stupid move on their part. The Sierra mountains (I think, I try not to think about the Californians) cutting through the Western U.S. would stop any kind of large advance, as they would inevitably be bottleknecked at the few mountain passes. Island hopping Alaska's archipelago would be a logistical nightmare, but coming down from Canada would give them the biggest advantage. Especially with cold war technology being the way it was.
coming down from canada would be even worse for logistics than going through seattle, almost 70% of alaska is mountains, and you still got the rockies and that area in canada, forget the name, in the NE area, that in very hostile too troops, Seattle was th ebest choice cuz #1, perhaps the fastest Resupply route #2, well located, easily defended(if defenses are set up right) #3they could resupply by ship, which is faster and carries more than by truck going throw the few roads in NW canada

The Russians proved that they can also do such a thing. The Russians had a large airforce, land power and a potential naval force. Theres so much land surrounding Russia that their conventional superiority will make it impossible for the United States to even choke them out. They could beat any other nation in the world with their army, true. Our navy was vastly superior, however, and they would have never made it to our shores. Look up some of the most advanced war games ever done, they both support this. A war game published by the CIA in the late 80s decided that in the event of war the USSR could take Europe, but they did not have the navy to transport the troops required to conquer the United States. They could have only beat us with Nukes.

"consider a draft in the event of World War 3?" World War 3 in full scale warfare would last less then a year. Takes resources (target) facilities (target) and time (small) to train, equip and send in soldiers.

Are you saying within less month you would have fully trained Soldiers? Equal to those available and the enemy who has a dedicated force with 2 years training per soldier?

maybe you shoudl read more carefully, i said it would be less than a month before the draft was instituted, and the USSR does not train its troops for 2 years, they only have a serve period of 2 years, USA trains for 3 months, but it is more intense,

Throughout service they Maintain full readyness and training. Soldiers in all competent forces continually train.

4 months actually is the basic training. Followed by training for their MOS which can take a year for combat troops.

well i think on low settings it will be playable- i have 2ghz, nvidia gforce 7300gs and 1024mb ram and it runs without lags on low and 1440x900 resolution

Yes, I recommend to play on Xp cause Your vid. card and processor are weak, and if You will play on DX9 Win XP You'll run game at medium settings, but You should buy more ram, minimum is 1GB cause game is very high detailed

red Alert is an RTS game, and World in Conflict is an Real Time Tactical Strategy :)

Only in terms of plot. KIND of.
Red Alert is a campy, unrealistic WW2 Alternate history in which Einstein goes back in time to kill Hitler and prevent WW2, then shit happens with the Soviet Union.
World in Conflict is realistic; it's a Cold War AH in which the Soviet Union invades Europe in the 80s, followed by the US. WiC has COMPLETELY different gameplay, to boot.

Well, you have the right idea about WiC. Although, the Soviet Union did have a "back up plan" so to speak. Which happened to be very close to the main idea of WiC. They WERE going to invade the Rhine River Valley into Switzerland and France for resources. But, they absolutely NEVER planned on invading North America. this was all a very extreme "Last resort plan though.

Invading the U.S. from the West would be a stupid move on their part. The Sierra mountains (I think, I try not to think about the Californians) cutting through the Western U.S. would stop any kind of large advance, as they would inevitably be bottleknecked at the few mountain passes. Island hopping Alaska's archipelago would be a logistical nightmare, but coming down from Canada would give them the biggest advantage. Especially with cold war technology being the way it was.

coming down from canada would be even worse for logistics than going through seattle, almost 70% of alaska is mountains, and you still got the rockies and that area in canada, forget the name, in the NE area, that in very hostile too troops, Seattle was th ebest choice cuz #1, perhaps the fastest Resupply route #2, well located, easily defended(if defenses are set up right) #3they could resupply by ship, which is faster and carries more than by truck going throw the few roads in NW canada

The usa supported The taliban fighting the russians just as the russians supported the vietnamese in the vietnam war. Russia had a large army becuase they wanted to have a strong empire. your a fool. They had the power and might to defeat any force in conventional warfare. sorry to burst your american/western pride. also read up on their equipment and supplies..they had thousand and hundreds of thosuands.

The Russians proved that they can also do such a thing. The Russians had a large airforce, land power and a potential naval force. Theres so much land surrounding Russia that their conventional superiority will make it impossible for the United States to even choke them out. Controlling all the Asian continent and the European continent will indeed choke out the United States instead. Not to mention that vastness of resources would make it easier for the russians to crossover

They could beat any other nation in the world with their army, true. Our navy was vastly superior, however, and they would have never made it to our shores. Look up some of the most advanced war games ever done, they both support this. A war game published by the CIA in the late 80s decided that in the event of war the USSR could take Europe, but they did not have the navy to transport the troops required to conquer the United States. They could have only beat us with Nukes.

Yes... probably You used Cd-key for trial version :) if you want to play You must buy a cd-key from massive, or biught original game... original game includes One original CD with the game, and second CD with trial 10 days version, and I'm sure You used the trial CD :)
