Oh, that's good... I personally read it as a metaphor about that kind of marriages in which, sadly, everything revolves around the husband like if the man was the sun and the woman just the satellite...

And she's left with nothing else but dreaming and drowning in her own fantasies, to try to take care of herself on her own...

Don't know if it was the sense you meant; it's just what I came up with!
