Finnland and germany had a pact that as long as the estonian coastal city Narva was in german hands, finnland would keep on figthing against russia. and they did, until september 1944 when the german and their volounteer forces were drawn back out of estonia, then Finnland had no otehr choice than to make peace, a russian amphibic invasion from narva would be for sure.

Lapissa taisteli 6. SS-vuoristodivisioona Nord. Itärintamalla taisteli SS-rykmentti Nordland, joka kuului Wiking-divisioonaan ja koostui pääasiassa pohjoismaalaisista vapaaehtoisista. Siinä oli myös suomalaispataljoona.
