I believe she has switched to the O3 Speedport Black. That is what she used in Montreal last summer, her last tournament. Not sure if it one of the newer versions of the racquet

yeah, a lot of righty profesional players in my club practice hitting some balls as a lefty every now and then. once i had the oportunity to practice with one of them and he was hitting as a lefty, even though his level was quite high!

Maria seemed to be the only player that can play both righty and lefty. Genius!

she's naturally ambidextrous which means she is equally talented off both sides. they say she has a slight tendency towards being a lefty when she first started playing, but her dad and the coaches around her felt that it was best for her playing righthanded. you can see in her dh bh how naturally it comes to her to use her left arm though.

btw. in terms of hitting lefty shots as a righty. a lot of players practice that every once in awhile, obviously especially those who have a doublehanded bh :)

cookies were what's cold 'short bread' which is lots of butter and sugar....they were so pretty...wish I took a picture before eating them. She was so sweet, girly and nice talking to me!!!

lol @ the lefthanded part.

sometimes she uses that shot for extreme defence shots, but she uses her bh grip of the left hand on the racket, thus usually lobs the ball holding the racket on top of the grip, here she's actually playing lefthanded fh's. :P
