  • Well, to be honest, your song sounds very compassionate and good composed. However, it doesn't fit the name Viva La Vida since it presents other meaning instead of Viva la Vida's. You have talent and play very well. You should name this song and make it your own, don't make it into Viva La Vida's shadow. It would be a waste

  • I don't care whether this sounds like the original or not, or if it's exactly played as everyone thinks it should be played.

In my world this qualifies as perfect! In fact it's so beautiful... it brings tears to my eyes. Thank you so much for uploading this, you're a true inspiration!

  • Absolutely beautiful arrangement! I love it!

  • Absolutely great playing ....Reminds me of the music you hear in chinese restaurants. You should make a CD... You'd make millions!!!! Dont stop playing....dont ever stop playing

  • If you haven't already, I'm going to tell you that, you could sell this, for a lot of money.

I honestly think you could put on some really good shows.

Even though music should never ever be about the money, the sounds you can produce on just one instrument are incredible.

  • Thank you for continuing to add great music for us! Simply beautiful.

  • You and Pianmusings. Check him out.

    Good job!

  • I'm sorry but no-one else on youtube comes close to you. You're piano skills are just amazing. What a magnificent talent you have.

  • Sorry, "your" not "you're".....

  • hey you are on a roll I can't keep up with all your amazing playing ;)

  • OMG! Great job!!!! just beautiful 5/5

  • Yet another great song played by you. Keep it up, you are amazing!

  • well done

  • That is just incredible, it is so beautiful , thank you so much for sharing this masterpiece! The best i've heard :)

  • settles it. Best pianist on youtube in my opinion.

  • Just beautiful.

  • very goooooooood!!!!!!!!!

  • Fair criticism. I put VLV in the title because this is very loosely based on the chord structure and contains fragments of the melody. Sometimes playing the original has already been done so many times on youtube than I don't think I have much to offer in those regards, so I try to do something different.

  • good idea, considering you're pretty awesome at the whole improvising thing.

  • Sorry for being rude to you. You seem like a really nice modest guy to have not been offended or responded bitterly to me. Yeah I mean I think you play beautifully, but I see where you are coming from. I just would have loved to hear you play Viva la Vida.

  • @Pianomusings i hear every exact chord you got from the song like from 3:03 to 3:10 that was the part where it says "rise when i gave the word" correct me if i'm wrong. really you just improvised and just put in that part and "i used to rule the world" part and the chorus part over and over again, but it still an amazing cover. good job dude

  • @Pianomusings You can definitely hear the original in there. At least in certain bits and pieces. I think this is great! It sounds awesome!

  • @Pianomusings hey just heard this, sounds great. Love the whole reflective, ballad feel you gave to the song.

  • You are amazing!!

  • What kind of piano is this?

  • I'm playing a Roland Fantom X8, but the piano is a VSTi called Ivory. This is the Steinway sample.

  • I've always loved the Fantom's piano sounds, but how would you say they stack up to Ivory?

  • The Fantom's piano are decent; but you can't even compare them to Ivory. If you've ever played a Steinway Model D, you know how it can actually inspire your playing--Ivory is close to this experience. Not to overhype it, but it really does take the digital piano sound to a whole 'nother level.

  • @Pianomusings

True, my parents have a steinway. I'm not sure what type but it's about 4 meters long.. It's makes any piece you play sound that much better. They're extremely sensitive, I love that :) Enables you to add nuances you wouldn't be able to play otherwise.

  • Great job! *sigh* I really wish I could play that well.

  • Sounds better than the original! Your improv. is really great. =)
