I understand you want people to pay more attention to those over seas, but can't we focus on more than one thing? We also like to see the good stuff every now and then to keep our spirits up about what all is going on. It's great that your dog missed you, and that people want to send her treats. I am so in love with this video..My husband and my dad's dog totally loved each other and when he came home from Iraq this past December, the way his dog reacted to seeing him instantly reminded me of this video..I wish I recorded it.. So sweet.
This is exactly what it was like at my house when I came home from Afghanistan. My 3 dogs, a German Shepherd, Chocolate Lab, and English Setter came barreling into me, and didn't leave my side for days. Most loyal animals that exist.

Look up "Hachiko monogatari" , the dog's owner dies and the dog stays waiting for his owner where he used meet him when the owner came back from work. Well no big deal right? Wong, the dog stays there for 10 years until he dies. Prepare to cry. A cat and rat(?) would have never have done that. A dog shows more love in one day than a cat's entire life.
@sbaeagles15 there was a story similar where an artist was climbing hills in 1800's in yorkshire to paint and he fell down a cliff to his death, he was with his dog, the people were searching for weeks , they found the dog alive next to the skeleton of the man, the dog layed by him for all that time but they say the dog was fat and must of eaten the man to stay alive, true story, i love dogs :)

I understand you want people to pay more attention to those over seas, but can't we focus on more than one thing? We also like to see the good stuff every now and then to keep our spirits up about what all is going on. It's great that your dog missed you, and that people want to send her treats. I am so in love with this video..My husband and my dad's dog totally loved each other and when he came home from Iraq this past December, the way his dog reacted to seeing him instantly reminded me of this video..I wish I recorded it.. So sweet.

This is exactly what it was like at my house when I came home from Afghanistan. My 3 dogs, a German Shepherd, Chocolate Lab, and English Setter came barreling into me, and didn't leave my side for days. Most loyal animals that exist.

Look up "Hachiko monogatari" , the dog's owner dies and the dog stays waiting for his owner where he used meet him when the owner came back from work. Well no big deal right? Wong, the dog stays there for 10 years until he dies. Prepare to cry. A cat and rat(?) would have never have done that. A dog shows more love in one day than a cat's entire life.

@sbaeagles15 there was a story similar where an artist was climbing hills in 1800's in yorkshire to paint and he fell down a cliff to his death, he was with his dog, the people were searching for weeks , they found the dog alive next to the skeleton of the man, the dog layed by him for all that time but they say the dog was fat and must of eaten the man to stay alive, true story, i love dogs :)

I never got to say goodbye to him either. because I was visiting my father when he died. along with my pet rats... it seems to much of a coincidence they died then- they died because they missed me. don't you get it? its not about how much affection that an animal has, or how long it waits for you... but how much they truly care inside. thats what counts. please consider this... will you?
