The Israeli military doesn't randomly go around taking down houses. The only time they do it is when someone in that house has been convicted of commiting (or aiding) in an act of terrorism.

I cant help but think that such acts of Israel, in all their horror, do nothing but harden the resolve of those that would see ALL the west destroyed.
Even for myself as an educated, secular westener, every day it becomes harder to see the Jewish people and the acts of the state of Israel as seperate entities.

The Israeli military doesn't randomly go around taking down houses. The only time they do it is when someone in that house has been convicted of commiting (or aiding) in an act of terrorism.
Ask yourself who lived in this house and what the person did, and then the story will become clearer. It's a matter of deterance - don't engage in terrorism, and no houses will get destroyed. For this person, I guess putting his family in the street was worth trying to kill some Israeli civlians.

The reason he isn't there when rockets land in Sderot is because of two things Palestinians experience much worse treatment and much bigger threats to their lives and livelihoods, and because it is up to Israel to stop the rockets from falling, by ending the occupation and addressing the legitimate grievances of the Palestinian people, as would be done in any conflict between two groups of whites/ westerners.
