I see nothing wrong with Americans burning the American flag for whatever reason. That's one of the main things the flag represents anyway - FREEDOM. We have the freedom to burn the American flag if we wanted to, something a lot of people around the world don't have the right to do.
So even if an American is burning our flag for disrespectful reasons, they are yet respecting the flag by demonstrating what it's all about.
That's how I see it, anyway. :-P

Can't this be dealt with with local fire ordinances? I don't think you should be burning things on city streets anyway.
If burning things on the court house steps is legal than a flag should be no exception. But I can't believe you are allowed to start fires.
The free speech should be maintained. Anti-American demonstrates should be make social outcasts not arrested. Everyone who passes by should call them scumbags, it is your patriotic responsibility.

The constitution allows for someone to burn the flag in protest. That is freedom of expression. All these politicians want to take away our liberties and freedoms. Vote Ron Paul to keep the constitution as the basis of our laws.
