  • I think they were on the radio from about 1925-31.

    Sam Lanin was quite famous though, apart from the Ipana Troubadours - and we still love his records 70 years later! What could be a better tribute?

  • Thanks Idasynco. That melancholy in this song also puts spell on me. I could listen and listen to this tune - especially, when standing by the window with a glass of brandy, and looking on faraway... well, willows, ofcourse :-)

  • Sam Lanin deserves to be better known because of the high quality of his recordings. Thanks for bring him here and for your presentation, very different from the others you did.
