  • hey bud I like your Chopin style, close to mine when I was playing (and when I'll get back to playing..:)

  • Coucou de Boubers, la famille Loncle vous salue. On a pu voir que vous étiez en forme tous les deux et toujours aussi artistes. En espérant avoir de vos nouvelles.

  • @TheMaxgreg -- hi there my dear friends - how nice to hear from you. We think of you often. I will send you an Email ... take care - Paul and Khwan.

  • I enjoyed so much of this beautiful and elegance performance.

Your interpretation with expression is really enchanted!

Love so much and listened with admiration.

    Bo Bo ^ v ^

  • You are a wonderful teacher, thank you.

  • Been watching your performance pieces and have been sending friends your way. One told me to watch the tutorials. Neither of us play an instrument but it is kind of interesting how you take piece apart to show how to perform it. I'm now able to "hear" structure and architecture of a piece. Thank you. This performance is well thought and full of apparent ease.

  • STUNNING

  • salut paul toujours aussi beau ce que tu joues j'aime

    Lauriane

  • You played one of my favorite Chopin Nocturne so beautifully!

I can imagine how your friend would enjoy this wonderful gift!

  • Magnifique !! l'âme plane au dessus du clavier !!

    Félicitations Paul !

  • marvelous interpretation, this nocturne is great, but underrated though

  • @BassicStorm what do you mean underrated?

  • Very beautiful Paul!!!

  • Absolutely fantastic! Love it!!!

  • Ohhhh THANKS Paul!!! ;-) .....how about playing some Debussy? I would love to hear you play reflections in water..... :-D

  • @stoklund -- definitely some Debussy coming up after the summer hols. That piece is certainly on the list, with the preludes and some misc pieces ...

  • Hi Paul, yours is one of my favorite Youtube channels. thanks for your wonderful videos

  • Muito boa interpretação!!!!!!!!

  • @PaulBartonPiano how is your studio coming along and did you get your new grand piano yet??

  • @ClassicalMusicPiano The Feurich piano was shipped several weeks ago - must be near or in port in Thailand waiting customs clearance. Thanks for asking.

  • Muito boa interpretação!!!!!!!!!Parabéns!!!!!!!

  • @daytonmlivingston @PaulBartonPiano - This piece is on the syllabus for the British ATCL (Associate of Trinity College London) performer's diploma. It's therefore reckoned to be more difficult than Grade 8, and about the level you're expected to achieve after the first year of full-time study at a music college.

  • What a nice piece. And perfectly performed as always!

  • Wow. What's the level of difficulty/grade you would give this piece?

  • @daytonmlivingston -- technically, there's not too much difficulty, aside from a few runs - the main difficulty is practicing it thoroughly still keeping the feel of an improvisation. The middle section LH fingering isn't straight forward (at least for me) when you get used to one one that works, it fells super-comfortable to play, although it sounds tricky I guess. Difficulty? ... roughly half way between Nocturne 2 and Fantastie-Impromptu. Would you put that at about grade 7?

  • Beautiful! (*^^*)

  • Very nice playing, enjoyed this very much.

    Best wishes, Frank

  • I think you ought to consider tutorials on the scherzi as a project.

  • @712Stephen... by coincidence I've just been running through Scherzo 2 these past few evenings - which is your favorite?

  • @PaulBartonPiano I've been working on that one, too. I really love all of them, but ... it's either number three or number four as far as favourites go.

  • @712Stephen -- yes, 3 & 4 are the ones :) my friend Mark (from school!) has just recorded 3, his channel is MarkBPiano if you're interested ...

  • @PaulBartonPiano Thanks for that! A great performance.
