all you need to know about GW vs WoW is that there is no unique skill to any class in WoW, there once was but blizzard began running out of ideas and decided to pretty much copy some classes unique skill and give it to other classes... for example: Mortal strike was the only healing deduction next to rogue poison - sigh - so arms warrs were great then they decided to give it to hunters, now even mages and priests have it? rofl.. same goes with replenishments.. terrible
I have played both GW and WoW. From what i remeber of my time playing GW. It consisted of spending long hours attempting to get past one section of the story (talking about nightfall, after the island) and failing every time. I hit lvl 20 really fast and thought to myself "WTF i have nothing to strive for anymore." i kept attempting to further the story by doing "missions" but failed every time, even with 7 other experienced players like myself. So I deleted GW, and bought WoW WOTLK, The end.

@Lethkhar2000, u only got to lvl 10 before saying "screw this"??? There are 70 more lvls and when u hit 80 it because GW times a billion. U raid, PvP, instance. It turns into a complete fun fest. U can also do Wintersgrasp. Which is like having an entire country in GW fighting each other with siege vechiles and flying vechiles, destroying towers and such to gain the Vault of Acharon, which is a raid whose availability switches depending on who controls Wintersgrasp. U missed 98% of the fun man.
I love how every Guild Wars vs WoW video has level 1's for the WoW section and high levels for the GW's section. You guild wars fanboys are desperate to make Guildwars better than WoW. It's impossible to make it look better without comparing lvl 1's to max levels hm?

wow lvl 1=20 is the same as 20-40 is the same as 40-60 is the same as 60-70-80 and soon to 85, everything worth while is actually endgame, so if you start now its alot longer haul than it was at first, wow is fun but can become boring once you have gear, no real incentive to play unless you love pve which can be fun, they even found a way to put grind into the pvp, i hope GW is better as ive deleted wow because of time wastage.

They aren't making the game crappy! They Make lower level areas less fun only because they want you to work hard to acheive your goals! After i got past the low levels lat me tell you it felt good! I was proud of my self for accomplishing it! How can you have any matter of opinion when you never got to experience the great part of the game! Random Dungeons and PVPing! Raiding and what not! It's great! You only got to get t level 10 and therefor did not get to experience the great side of WOW. :D

I have played both GW and WoW. From what I remember of my time playing WoW, it consisted of several hours of wandering around the countryside killing X creeps so I could get powerful enough to kill Y creeps. It was really boring, and I didn't get past level 10 before saying "Screw this" and doing something else.
GW, while not perfect, certainly held my attention longer. The art is WAY better imo, and there's no grinding because it's not in their interest to waste your time. (Unlike WoW)
you grind in quests because it gives you something to do. delivery quests have time periods where you just walk around, whats so fun about that. besides people dont do grinding quests because they want to, they do it because its the fastest way to get to a higher level where you can do more stuff other than quests.
Exactly; why would I want to do something I don't want to do while playing a game? I play games to have fun; not to work so I can have fun. That's what life is for. The game is supposed to be just the "fun" in that equation.
@Lethkhar2000 Theres your problem...you sat around in vanilla wow, playing in the most boring areas (level 1 - 20 areas) and ventured very little into the game.... Areas like outlands and northrend are the apitamy of wow, and contain much better concept and purpose in levelling. These areas contain some stunning visuals also, but as a dedicated wow player, i am a little biased ;)

@Lethkhar2000 You have misunderstood, these areas were not inserted as 'boring areas' simply, introducing the game to you, and therefore the quests and areas are simpler and less complex than others. The game starts at 1, but takes off at 20.... thats all i was trying to convey.

Ok, so i've played both and you really cant complare them. It's all personal preference. WoW is just the big title grinder which just happened to get lucky because continued off an old label, warcraft.
The reason Guild Wars is better IN MY OPINION is that it requires thinking, developed strategies in harder areas and good teamwork. WoW i find is, kill this, kill that, run around yada yada yada. But in GW level 20 is where the game starts, since everyone is level 20 it requires brains to win pvp

HA! Ya I actually did play past the trial YEARS ago although I will admit not that long...because I'm not gonna waste my money on a game with a monthly fee where I can play other MMOs with only a retail fee, better graphics, better gameplay, and where I don't have to waste my life on...you a 20 year old fan boy the same age as me and I know I'm doing so much better with my life, but hell its your life go ahead and shove it down the drain...maybe you will wake up before its too late.

and i'm telling you, GW only winning aspect is graphics.

GW will forever pwn the video game world! @ d3athzr4ttl3z, jumping is a big deal to me, and i prefer being able to jump, but WoW is not that great anymore. REASONS i think wow sucks: PvP nuff said! lvl. 80 raids suck, they get boring really fast. the only good thing about WoW is the funny gameplay, and graphics. THAT IS ALL.....

I've played both WoW and GW. I got to say WoW is alot more addicting but GW was more fun. Lvling on your own is boring on WoW and you lose your time and money overtime. On GW Lvling on your own is cool with Henchmans and Heroes. Overall I'd say GW is better but not by much

I have played both GW and WoW. From what I remember of my time playing WoW, it consisted of several hours of wandering around the countryside killing X creeps so I could get powerful enough to kill Y creeps. It was really boring, and I didn't get past level 10 before saying "Screw this" and doing something else.
GW, while not perfect, certainly held my attention longer. The art is WAY better imo, and there's no grinding because it's not in their interest to waste your time. (Unlike WoW)

you grind in quests because it gives you something to do. delivery quests have time periods where you just walk around, whats so fun about that. besides people dont do grinding quests because they want to, they do it because its the fastest way to get to a higher level where you can do more stuff other than quests.

@Lethkhar2000 Theres your problem...you sat around in vanilla wow, playing in the most boring areas (level 1 - 20 areas) and ventured very little into the game.... Areas like outlands and northrend are the apitamy of wow, and contain much better concept and purpose in levelling. These areas contain some stunning visuals also, but as a dedicated wow player, i am a little biased ;)

@Lethkhar2000 You have misunderstood, these areas were not inserted as 'boring areas' simply, introducing the game to you, and therefore the quests and areas are simpler and less complex than others. The game starts at 1, but takes off at 20.... thats all i was trying to convey.

Ok, so i've played both and you really cant complare them. It's all personal preference. WoW is just the big title grinder which just happened to get lucky because continued off an old label, warcraft.
The reason Guild Wars is better IN MY OPINION is that it requires thinking, developed strategies in harder areas and good teamwork. WoW i find is, kill this, kill that, run around yada yada yada. But in GW level 20 is where the game starts, since everyone is level 20 it requires brains to win pvp

I have never had much of a lag problem with GW. But after 2 weeks I am sick and tired of waiting 20+ minutes to get onto a WoW server. Weekends, WoW is almost unplayable because of the wait to just log on the system.
So give me lag over unavailable any day of the week.
