Good! Keep practicing the strum technique. This is a deep emotional song. You have that happy voice.  When you can sing it without looking at the words and music you will get more soul in the song. This is not critical. I am impressed.

Okay, well, your singing isn't bad at all, and there's no reason to feel bad - its tricky playing guitar and singing at the same time. There is one thing though: Your singing sounds cheerful. Pay close attention to the sound in the two "main" versions of the song - NIN's original and Cash's cover.

The song has a very drained sound - someone who's tired more than someone who's sad. No defense, just exposed and damaged spirit. You unfortunately sound almost cheerful.

Just a thought.
