Bush's mandate was to bring the US as close to totalitarian government as possible.He sort of fulfilled his mandate but there was considerable push back.The real power that controls the US government,want to throw off the restrictions that the existing governmental systems places upon them.Bush had planned to become dictator for life,even though he would not set the agenda and he is a complete idiot.People perform better when they believe the illusion that they are free and this was being lost.
