If there was anything that I was to be negative about in this video, it is that you should put a little bit more feeling in it, and slow it a bit... Otherwise, as perfect as it gets! ;D
woah!!! dude! ok im an INSTANT fan! from looking down the "More From: louvegroove" list over to the right of this.. um, yea I'll be doing some listening!! Friends, St. Peter, The King, Friends.. um, yea I'm sold! Plus, you rock doing it all too!! Thanks for all the awesome posts, David! I'm new on YouTube, and I've started doing some EJ myself on here. Well.. TRYing is more like it :P You seen Elton opening his 60th birthday concert with 60 Years? Hope you have that DVD!!
Yes, the thing that did impress me about the 60th Birthday version was that it sort of a combination of the LP version, and the version he used to perform live (as heard on '11/17/70'). Thanks for the kind comments and for subscribing. And welcome to YouTube....
Very Nicely done. I've been fortunate enought to see him in concert 6 times here in North Carolina. I would love for my young piano playing son to have that opportunity as well. I used to have Dee Murray's son in one of my classes about 10 years ago.
Thanks Petemoss. I love North Carolina by the way. Have spent a lot of time in the Asheville area. I have videos on my trip to Vegas a year ago, and hanging out with Davey Johnstone before the Red Piano show. I hope you will subscribe to my channel. Best wishes!
Sounds great, well done. Isn't that a great song to play, it just lends itself to heaps of emotions. A perfect song to improvise to. I noticed you played it in Am rather than Bm, I assume for the vocals ?
Thanks for the comment. Yes, I transposed down to Am, although I have played it in Bm before. Am is a bit more in my vocal range. My goal is to work my way thorugh EJ's album 1970-1975 and picj the rare songs I like and post them. I just posted 'First Episode at Hienton' and 'Madman' today...
Great stuff, best cover I've heard, well done!!!!!!

Excellent piano playing and singing
I didn't realize that there are so many big fans of Elton who love to play and sing his songs like I do!
