The only thing you should use to reflow the solder is a proper solder reflow station. Using any other method runs the risk of screwing up your xbox360 permanently.
did you actually put thermal paste on the RAM chips as you failed to show this on here for the reasembly. If so which did you use.
Also on reading below you said to another member there might be a short circuit somewhere. Where is this likely to be? I am asking as when I reaffix the RF board and get the 3 red lights still (after attempting numerous reflows) and I rurn the machine to one side the lifht pattern changes by way of the top lights seem to switch over.
@BzRKxKILLER Might do, But you would have to gun the CPU as power errors are not as common as say a 0102, but they do ocurr, ive fixed 4 on a reflow machine by reflowing the CPU, try it and if no joy souns like a short circuit!
your actualy a retard, not protecting the caps, not heating it long enough, flipping it over WHILE its hot. your lucky it hasnt fucked you xbox permanently
@GuttahMastah get the diameter and height measurements, the microfarad rating and the voltage for all of the caps and goto a place like mouser and order new capacitors and solder them on.
@TheXboxGuy269 you dont put thermal paste on the fucking ram chips, you fucking retard, lol, there is no heatsink for that smarty and those dont even get hot, and you should have circled the gpu for 4-5 minutes on high, that really fixes it, no just a temporary fix like your doing

do this except use thermal paste remover to remove it. use flux, use the liquid flux if you can, if you can't, use the jelly one, doesn't really matter. then do the Xclamp fix and if you can, get a good CPU cooler that you can easily modify and put it on where the DVD drive doesn't cover the heatsink.. Then use the 12v mod so that your xbox will be cooler, all of that will cost about $50 including the heatgun, flux and thermal paste remover/thermal paste :)
Also heating the back runs the risk of th chip falling off if the solder completely melts.

Just a tip, you don't wan't to spread the thermal grease manually, you want to have the heat sink spread it.

I actually fixed my zbox by reflowing with my girlfriend's hair dryer! Probably safer, but not as effective. Great vid!
