I had the pleasure of watching this guy when he first broke into the league. He was leaner and faster, but could still hit the long ball very well. His stolen bases and ribbies were pretty off the hook. Not to mention he could gun you down at home from the track in deep right. Unbelievable player, they shouldn

t have fattened him up like that. I see the point of a power hitter, but he was so complete in his Expos years.

Yeah, I remember getting to an Expos game late. As I was walking in I heard V;ad hit a dinger while in the hallways hurrying to my seat. I was kind of disappointed I had missed it...until the 8th inning when he cranked a 450 footer! In other words he's done the same for me. Believe it or not but I would get to see him for 8$ general admission (sit anywhere you want) cause expos had such a hard time drawing fans. It was great for me, shit for the team. :(
