dude nice mach 1 i miss mine, i just got it friday and when i gave it to my dad to give it a good amount of power i was fixing my gfs car and she had to drive it home, some idiot in a ricer ran into her while she was turning left. now its all gone in one weekend. i drove it all weekend till i was supposed to get it back with a good 567 hp.

fords did indeed make 'some' piece of shits in the 80's, but they indeed make one of the better engines on the market to day. 4.6 all the way, lets not forget about the legendary 5.0 either. The 24 valve v6 duratec has also done pretty well in my mercury sable.
Actually, the duratec engine, comes in multiple cars and displacements, such as the 2.5L in the cougars and other and the 3.0L is said to be one of the best engines ever created. It was designed by a company that makes one of the best Formula 1 engines.

Dont get me wrong the mustang was badass in the late 60's but they havent really achived any new upgrades. All that changes is the bodies and interiors.
If it is anything, it is 03-04 cobra without the supercharger. And that's the bottom line.
The mustang is an affordable car that you can both have fun in and drive everyday.

High revving engines essentially substitute that high RPM for torque, to still get decent horsepower measures. Just by the nature of the engine.
Horsepower = Torque X Engine RPM / 5,252.
There's really no need to rev past 8,500 RPM. That's what top fuelers rev to, and they make 8,000 horsepower, and run 337 miles per hour in the quarter,

What year car? most likely youre alright, sometimes the tach needle is innacurate at higher RPMS, so while the needle shows youre redlining, you're probably still okay.
yea its a slightly beefed up version of the 2001 32V cobra motor, stock internals, so a blower with any kind of real boost is a no-no, good for about 320 horses and about 335 ft/lbs when its actually dynoed, despite ford only claiming 305/320 respectively....

actually its not that simple, the guys at for reworked that motor a bit, same internals from what i know, better lower intake, and it actually runs 10:1 compression. Can't put the same charger on it or u'll likely blow the motor
Lol neither have posi, Lx(v6) have an open diff and the GT/Mach have same rear...GT comes standerd with 3.27 gearing and mach with 3.55 gearing...both have a LSD with a clutch plate setup.
It has a Bassani O/R X-pipe and Flowmaster American Thunder catback....also because it's a Mach 1 it sounds a little deeper than a GT would because it has more air being crammed in.
My favorite sounding muscle car of all time! And I own a Camaro!

This might be a stupid question but say I get a mach 1, will the shaker get in the way of me gettting an Eaton supercharger on it? I know the internals cant handle a lot of boost but a 80+ amount of boost isnt that bad right? answer back plz!

No question is stupid! Yes you can put a eaton sc on it w/out the shaker getting in the way. If you want to see one with a whipple on it, type in........2003 Mach 1 for sale........... the guy that posted the vid user name is jfoster33702. The car is also on e-bay! His car is sick! It's a long vid, but at the end he shows under the hood.

What year car? most likely youre alright, sometimes the tach needle is innacurate at higher RPMS, so while the needle shows youre redlining, you're probably still okay.

yea its a slightly beefed up version of the 2001 32V cobra motor, stock internals, so a blower with any kind of real boost is a no-no, good for about 320 horses and about 335 ft/lbs when its actually dynoed, despite ford only claiming 305/320 respectively....

yea its the same 32V motor minus the blower (and about 70 horses...lol. i also think the cobra has stronger internals to hold up to the boost from the eaton

actually its not that simple, the guys at for reworked that motor a bit, same internals from what i know, better lower intake, and it actually runs 10:1 compression. Can't put the same charger on it or u'll likely blow the motor

is the motor in the Mach 1 the same as the Cobra's just without the supercharger? I believe they are both 32v dohc, whereas the GT is a SOHC.

Lol neither have posi, Lx(v6) have an open diff and the GT/Mach have same rear...GT comes standerd with 3.27 gearing and mach with 3.55 gearing...both have a LSD with a clutch plate setup.

It has a Bassani O/R X-pipe and Flowmaster American Thunder catback....also because it's a Mach 1 it sounds a little deeper than a GT would because it has more air being crammed in.
