  • According to don cherry wayne gretzky isnt a hockey player when according to most hes the greatest of all time. Lindstrom doesnt fight, ovechkin doesnt fight, selanee doesnt fight, are they all D,H

  • God dammit...even Don Cherry has the right idea! DH don't belong in baseball!!

  • his birthday today!

  • Two different players but what I can say with all certainty is the greatest players are all from the great province of Ontario

  • Bourque isnt even in the top 3 best Bruin defenseman let alone all time. So many others that where better then he was.

  • ALL-TIME TEAM:

    1st Line: Bobby Orr-Wayne Gretzky-Maurice Richard-Gordie Howe-Chris Chelios

    2nd: Line: Ray Borque-Bobby Hull-Phil Esposito-Guy Lafleur-Art Ross

    3rd Line: Dit Clapper-Teemu Selanne-Mario Lemieux-Mike Bossy-Paul Coffey

    4th Line: Guy Lapointe-Brett Hull-Mark Messier-Clark Gillies-Scott Stevens

Bench: Steve Yzerman, Jean Beliveau, Dale Hawerchuk, Jari Kurri, Luc Robitaille

    Goalies: 1st-Jacques Plante 2nd-Patrick Roy 3rd-Terry Swachuck

I think this team could contend! ;)

  • @obiwanobiwan13 why isn't lemieux in the top line?!! and where is joe sakic?!!!

  • @obiwanobiwan13 except u have the best player of all time on the 3rd ine lol

  • @obiwanobiwan13 Not bad, but how could you pick

Art Ross over Eddie Shore or Doug Harvey? And

    where is Martin Brodeur?

  • @avaxtakaka So many great defensemen...and he DOES ahve the trophy named after him...

Ditto with Brodeur, Plante and Sawchuck are legendary and then I just think Roy was better...

And while Super Mario is as amazing as it gets...whou would you take out of the top line for him: Mr. hockey, The great One, or The Rocket?

Maybe we could risk a "Too Many Players on the Ice" penalty and bring him on anyway? ;)

LET'S GO MY BLOVED ANAHEIM DUCKS!

    SELANNE!!!!

AND LET THE JETS GO HOME!!!!!!!

  • @obiwanobiwan13 The name of the trophy has nothing to do with it, the NHL does not name trophys after positions bests.

  • #4 will always be number one.......

  • The last book Anatoly Tarasov wrote in his life, "TARASOV". He brought up Bobby Orr just twice and it was only based on creativity (I could be wrong on that one) and on a short list of great players he thanked Orr for making the game great.

Is there a book that Tarasov wrote with a longer story on Bobby Orr?

    Who knows...

  • Respect and love for this man. It's tragic that no one will ever match his genius.

  • Bobby Orr was not only the greatest player

ever, but also the greatest gentleman. I've

never met Mr. Orr, but I know many people

who have. Orr has done a lot of wonderful

things (charities, giving, etc) that nobody

even knows about. He goes out of his way

to keep his good deeds silent. Orr is truly

    a WONDERFUL human being!

  • The Legends of hockey

  • #4 is #1

  • you can't have em both on your heroes list like I do

  • best player that ever lived. PERIOD

wayne gretzky doesnt come close to #4

  • Cheers to that!!

  • Absolutely correct! Orr's from my era, and

I watched him play many times. The only

defenceman who even comes close to

the great Orr was Ray Bourque (OK, I'm a

    biased Bruin fan!).

  • @avaxtakaka Not a bad claim. :) Bruins have had the 2 best defencemen of all time in their team.

  • @11DNA11 Actually, we're probably had three out of the

four all-time best (Orr, Bourque and Eddie Shore). If only

    Gord Kluzak could've stayed healthy!!!!
