two you could buy it, three find the same file some where else and try it or go here and download to jail brake it and then you can update

@1mbldytears hey bro maybe i can help that same thing happened to me ! Then you have to restore it right ? Well when you have to restore it press shift and click at the same time on RESTORE and go to your desktop and choose the one you downloaded and that should be it well it worked for me so yeahh ! (: i hope that helped !

@chipkingman All i did was hold the home button, hold the power button until i turned off, then back on, then let go of the power button but keep holding the home until it says connect to Itunes. Then i just shift clicked restore and chose the software and it worked.

@sadistic6898 what are you doing..? once you downloaded the file, go on itunes and put your mouse on the update button and press shift+click. once you did that click on the file you downloaded from brothersoft. then the ipod should update..

@Scullion32 yes you can install apps and this is the software certified by apple they just took it off after a few months because they released ios 4. so basically yes you can... it does not let you install ALL of them but like the majority of them. Glad I could help! and also I used to have 2.2.1 software IT SUCKS. :3

@ViralnewsTV okay what you have to do is once you have the file that you downloaded go on itunes... once your on itunes go to the update button but DO NOT CLICK ON IT YET you have to shift+click... then go to the file that you downloaded and click it. your itouch should update and it should work. if it does not work then restore it...
