@georgiebest1 Are you kidding me? You mean the same Herol Graham that got STARCHED by Julian Jackson? LOL! Hagler never avoided ANYONE let alone Herol Graham.
@preo2 Graham was winning the Jackson fight comfortably the ref was gonna stop it cos Graham was dominating, but Jackson did what he did best and knocked him out cold.
I'm not suggesting Hagler was scared of Graham but he could have fought him on many occassions but it was high risk/low reward so he avoided it.I'm not trying to make out he wasn't a great champ but all fighters make their choices on a risk/reward basis. Thats why fighters like Pryor & Graham were never a priority for most
@georgiebest1 Yeah but you said Hagler "avoided" Graham so that's kinda saying he was afraid. Graham may have been winning the fight against Jackson but what does that mean? He still got knocked out. Terry Norris won the first round easily against Jackson then got creamed. I don't even recall Graham ever calling Hagler out or him ever being on Hagler's radar. One thing I know for sure though, is that Marvin Hagler didn't "avoid" anyone.
Herol Graham was never a number one contender, that's why Hagler didn't fight him. Sheesh, some people...

Hagler fought and beat all the top contenders in his division, unlike Floyd Mayweather Jr.
