Equip as many cherub crowns as possible to the leader to avoid his instant death move. Also make sure that the your SYN has viel cast on your part members, and have your SAB constantly debuff him . If you do these this battle is a cakewalk

I think that phil should do something like I did example ..

I had a class of commando commando commando

and a class of medic medic medic

and a class of ravanger ravenger ravenger

and them some other classes to make um mixed up like synergyst medic and sentinel

but he still did good =)

Merciless judgement actually doesn't put you at 1 hp everytime. It just deals a whole lot of damage. If you use a sentinel and provoke orphan to make merciless judgement aimed for that sentinel, then the damage will be lower for everyone else. I did that all the time and it only got me down 1/2 my hp.

He should be using a MED/MED/COM paradigm for massive healing so that the COM can keep the stagger meter up.

I've seen or listened to this whole thing, ALL 124 videos, and I have no idea who/what Orphan is. Or where Cocoon came from. Or what happened to Pulse, like why all those people are gone. Or what Ragnarok is.

You know, the Final Fantasies before 10 had great story lines. Since then, not so much.

@sloppyjoes7 1)Orphan is the Fal`cie providing the power which keeps Cocoon floating above Pulse.

2)The people of Pulse were killed of during the War of Transgression which took place while Fang and Vanille were sealed.

3)Ragnarok is the form that Fang took before the War of Transgression, she damaged the outer shell of Cocoon, as is visible when playing on Pulse and looking at Cocoon in the sky.

personally i wouldve manually controlled the synergism as opposed to the auto causse it looks like the auto only wants to cast one buff at a time

Dark Cloud in FF3 had the same cheap BS this boss had. Remember the beam that could hit 9,999 on every character in your party? 1 HP doesn't sound so bad then.

I'm sure this doesn't help since you probably killed orphan, but I killed him using Light/Fang/Van. Deshell/Imperil/Poison takes his hp down faster than anything I've seen. It felt like I had him in a permanent stagger.  It literally seems like they didn't intend it and it is indeed a broken game play mechanic.
