  • can I masturbate while I wait?

  • @buggsquasher up to you but please wash your hands before and after

  • hahahahhahaa great!!!!!!!

  • Awesome video, thanks. But my oil came in a spray bottle, so it was 10x easier and quicker to apply. I guess they've changed it since '08.

  • song at 0:57 please?

  • About cleaning and rinsing from "the clean side"... What about my K&N drop in cone filter??? Anyone?

  • This video is awesome, especially the ending :)

  • Hahaha great

  • lol is that the Chips theme music?

  • this video is awesome :)

  • Awesome man, thanks! I am about to do this on my accord for the first time, now I know how to!

I lol'd at the RC car part!

    and the snow!

  • CLASSIC MATE!!!!!! LOVE THE MUSIC AND VERY INFORMATIVE!!!!! FUCKING BRILLIANT!!!!!!!

  • Do you oil both sides?

  • @nixipod no just the front/outer side

  • awesome. thanks mang!

  • good video dude

  • which cleaning kit is that?

  • Thanks for the video now I have to change my K & N Air Filter in my beamer benz or bentley my pockets are never empty . bye

  • how many miles do you have to change the filter? thanks

  • Did you have fouling problems with the MAF sensor from using oil based filters?

  • i heard that the increased air flow can cause one of the tiny wires to come loose....good luck finding a cheap maf sensor....

  • @b20002003 if you dont have a maf sensor what happens?

  • @SF18BRAV0 I had this problem. What you do? Mine is a 3kgt vr4. Misfiring cause this damn oil filter.

    Back to stock...

  • I've heard several complaints about this. You'll just have to clean your MAF sensor more often. And don't go overboard on the oil when lubing it up. Some people switch to foam filters or dry highflow filters

  • @SF18BRAV0

Crap, I never thought about this affecting the MAF sensor before!

  • does it make a big difference replacing your stock filter with a k & n?

  • yes it does, a dramatic sound difference , and a slight power increase.

Just buy one, they save gas and incrase power, also it will prolong your engines life

  • @alfie677

well as far as a 'big' difference goes, it depends on the vehicle. But generally it will save you a bit on gas and get you a little more horsepower. And its a easy/affordable upgrade that over time will pay for itself.

  • Just wondering, the dirty side is the side that is pulling the air in and the clean side would be the side facing the motor? as in the diry side is facing outward to the intake pulling air through it.

Because both sides of mine are dirty

  • Thanks for the tutorial now I got to change the filter on my bugatti bye

  • lol ! thanks for the video.

  • lmao

  • Good vid, but i have got a K&N Pod filter

  • haha. nice tutorial. i gotta go change the filter on my 350Z now. thanks for the vid!

  • u squeeze too much oil onto the filter surface.....the ideal capacity is the 1/3 of the total filter area..

  • @arthurlam2003 not true! im on the K&N site right now, it says to do exactly what this guys doing, even shows a picture. if you dont believe me go on their site which is knfilters dawt com slash cleaning. lol, weird to have to say the site like that, but yeah. 'tis true to do it this way

  • Nice Video!

  • Funny! ***** 4 U!

  • nice...

  • well done !

  • Great video and a good tutorial for those who have not done this important procedure. I'm glad I watched it an read the comments about lubricating the clean side of the filter. Thanks for posting this helpful video.

  • Geez, I thought you are going to show all your 10 mins playing with the car :))

  • Very good vid mate!

  • man...that manual oiling is annoying :D

Good thing K&N makes the compressed oil can where u can instantly spray a wide area than doing one line at a time.

  • Good Vid I've always been a skeptic of those filters but only because I'm a lazy ass and don't feel like spending the time to clean it ha ha.

  • haha rofl

  • Nice vid, funny too! Loved the ending haha!

  • Thank you so much, this tutorial really helped!

  • Look at the directions on the K&N instructions manual, they made a mistake. It says to add oil to the DIRTY side yet when you look at the picture next to the description, it shows the CLEAN side is being oiled... this video shows the right way, dont look at the K&N picture.... weird...

  • Wat about the compressed kind of k&n oil? that's what I has!

  • Cool Video! Would you happen to know if I can use a K & N recharger kit to recharge my AIR RAID air filter. I know they have their own recharger kit but I have a K & N kit handy.

  • that little cra looks like fun

  • i did mine today with the assistant of your videos thanks much. luckily i lives in ca weather bright and hot :D

  • well your not a total knob end or anythin.....

  • Hey cool video, Whats the name of the song at the end, it's really good.

  • Can anyone tell me if it's the same process for a motorcycle filter?

    Thank you!

  • it's the same thing for motorcycle filters

  • thanks abunch, i wasnt really sure how to go about doing this

i had always thought the filter was coloured red, i didnt know the colour came from the stuff in it

  • what is the gel for?

  • LMAO The ending is funny.

  • lol i love the ending =P

    hahaha

  • good cleaning

    thanks pal

  • I appreciate someone taking the time to make a video for this process! Thank you :-)

  • whoa, they make a gel for it? i've got this aerosol spray that's much quicker. But i'd imagine the gel gives better coverage.

  • thanks, i'm wondering how long it takes to dry that sucker.

  • Thanks a bunch for posting this! The instructions are pretty straight forward in the box but for $60 + cleaning supplies I wanna make sure I'm cleaning right. Nice job!!

  • Nice Thanks

  • my filter never looks that clean after its washed

  • how do you do the coned filters?hmmm i'll figure it out ... aweswome vid

  • so ?? no one answered my question ?!

  • can i clean my vararam filter the same way u did to your k&n filter ??

  • i have no clue what vararam uses

why not contact them and find out?

are you on a corvette forum?

  • OH, nevermind it says it on the paper inside the box.

  • The spray can oil isn't specific as to only apply it to the dirty side. I wonder if it will make a difference

  • Hmmm, my recharger kit came with a spray oil.

  • can you trust KN air filter? i heard its pretty bad cuz of the oil. is that true? why do they even have oil at first place?

  • the oil prevents smaller specs from going through the filter element (i think it this case a cotton material for K&N).) a trade off from using cheap paper elements for filter, K&N and other high performance filters are more breatheable/permeable but they require thorough cleaning & recharging (re-oiling)

  • thank you

  • check to make sure it doesn't snow......... hahahaha heeeelarious, thanks for the vid bro!

  • Yup, that's Canada for ya. Thanks for the vid!

  • bro, is it okay if i will put more oil?

    i have a opent K&N right now ..

  • OMG! thanks for this video!!!! I was looking up K&N filter change and wash but wasn't able to find this at first..."recharge" was the keyword. Anyway, I just got a K&N and didn't know it was reusable until I opened the box, Definitly worth the few extra dollars!!!
