@kittyxcircusxact :( Gackt IS really amazing. But he isn't as active anymore. And Tokio Hotel is not generic. Just because they're a boy band doesn't make them generic. They have had quite the impact on the music world actually.

Although I have to say this isn't even a fair comparison. Gackt is HUGE. but mostly in Japan. Whereas Tokio Hotel has flooded European markets. Both are big in their own ways.

I think their styles are too different to compare. I mean, Gackt has this deep rich vibrating tone whereas Bill has a strong and very unique voice. I've never heard his voice shake....

And if you really ask me, then I would say neither has dramatic impact.

I watched moon child and everything and loved it when I watched it, even though looking back I realize it was kind of bad...XD but the Gackt Hyde combo was great. I'm sure young people don't start out music and go for the people that are above there age. A lot of TH fans are above 17 to their mid forties and they can hardly be called a childish band.
