  • This is definitely the best Model for Djent. I use it with an Agile 7-String Explorer (EMG 707 Pickups) and it nails the Meshuggah Obzen tone.

  • So are the drum beats from say pro tools or are they on the line 6??? thanks

  • @chickabuka They won't be from the line 6 - it's only a model(ler), all it does is change the sound of your guitar/bass/vocals.

  • Hey Martin,

Is this straight out of the POD or did you improve it after with plugins? (EQ, Compression etc...)

    Much thanks!

  • I would like to hear some 7 string chugging with the big bottom amp models!

  • @mattiethedrummer616

Here's a link. Check it out. I absolutely love it.

It's Alex Wade from Whitechapel on an 8 string ESP LTD FM-418

It's the Line 6 Big Bottom with a Red Wirez Mesa Cab.

I know it's not 7 string, but it's low end if that's what you were looking for.

    Hope this helps. :D

  • @dyldomackinson where is the link?

  • @mattiethedrummer616

look up Section 8 by Alex Wade.. that's big bottom with 7 string tuned Drop G

  • hey, i have been trying to figure out.... does anybody know what amp the big bottom sim is based off of?

  • @weemankyle It´s just a Line 6 original amp, it´s not based on any amp.

  • @MartinMoyan0 ok thanks

  • @weemankyle it is based on a Triple Rectifier with a Rivera Los Lobottom sub rig. Martin doesn't know what he is talking about

  • @weemankyle

the manual said, it's based on mesa 3ple recto head + rivera los lobottom cabinet.

i use this model a lot.

  • @weemankyle "Line 6 Big Bottom - Just can't seem to get enough bottom end out of your cabinet? Try punishing it with Big Bottom. We crossed our model of a Boogie Triple Rectifier® with a model of a Rivera Los Lobottom sub rig and dialed it in for serious disembowelment. But it’s not just about the bass. A super wide midrange control and an extra present high midrange maintain articulation and power throughout the tonal range of this amp."

    =)

  • do this things require batteries or whats up cause i wanna get one but i need to know if they need batteries or not

  • @coolboy92173 I think the live version is plugged in, and this is batteried

  • @coolboy92173 It does not require batteries, you have to plug it directly to the wall with the power supply that comes included when you buy your Pod.

  • That tone sounds pretty mean, how well do you guys reckon the POD XT is in comparison to the X3? Soundwise.

  • @RsGhost1 I have both, and you know, I drive myself up the wall comparing them! X3 is much brighter, actually it sounds a little wimpy to me, but it does have more clarity. X3 seems more nu-metal, soft, not enough midrange for me. It has a lot of the same amps, but they sound COMPLETELY different. Maybe I'm just used to the XT, but I think I prefer it. Don't know. Better or worse, the X3 and XT sound COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. I have a couple videos with the XT you can check out if you like.

  • @gram440a Thanks for sharing, I love my XT. It sounds really nice. To really compare I should try an X3 out myself some time. It has some extra bells and whistles, I'd love to try one out :)

  • nice - I used the Big Bottom amp to design a Cannibal Corpse tone on my X3

  • Sounds like shit.

  • Does Line 6 POD X3 need to be update to use Big Bottom Model?

    ???Or need to update

    ''

  • This model sounds great, is it a preset?

I love the lead tone on this.

  • This sounds awesome But i'm getting the highest model the Line6 Pod X3 PRO ;)

    cannot wait!

  • @SoundOfAShark Congrats but no sound quality difference though, just more I/O's and important stuff for studio recording.

  • @Scr3wHe4d Oh can imagine there the same quality, i just want the highest model since i do have the money to waste now lol I got in a car crash got compansation from injury

So i'm after the most expensive model ;) I'm using it to record anyway ;)

    thnks for the comment ;)

  • nice video, would be cool if you made more videos where you show how to exactly get the sounds and so on =)

  • @madbagheera Check my new video with the settings for a Heavy Metal Rythm Preset.

    Regards

    M.

  • @MartinMoyan0 Esos settings son los mismos q los de estos??, suenan muy pro.

    Saludos desde Chile!

  • @MartinMoyan0 You you think it is worth getting the pod x3 or should i just get the pod xt

  • @WinterMadness05 Between the X3 and the XT I prefer the first, you have more models and also the capability of recording Bass and vocals, also you can create sounds using two diferent virtual rigs or amplifiers. On the other hand if you are still undecided pls wait for my new HD models demo, the new POD HD features a new step in modelling technology and maybe you like it better.

    Thanks for commenting.

  • Wow..I like the outro...not too much string noise.5/5

  • well i just got the pod 3x but its the red bulgy one for christmas and im trying to get a superior metal sound like yours got any tips

  • @mike23335 See if you like my metal tone,Im sure my live is similar too urs,I`ll send u my settings!!!

  • ok thanks, and is it fairly easy to get the tone you want?

  • Yes, in fact if you know the amp and effects your favourite player uses you can dial in the X3 and get really near the tone you´re looking.

    Regards

    M.

  • can you plug these things through and amp?

  • Yes, of course you can, directly thru the guitar imput or in the power in of the loop efect to use just the power section of your amp and the Line 6 as a preamp.

    Regards

  • now that is a sexy ass lead tone man!!!!! wooo!

  • @meneiza Yeah,I think hes runnin through a diezel,soldano,or mesa...look at his tags lol!!!

  • All of those in the tags are models from the POD X3.

  • how do you make it?

  • Plug my Ibanez RG550 directly to the POD X3 and then to the line input of the soundcard of my PC, recorded and mixed with Cool edit Pro 2.0.

    Regards

    Martin
