  • so u stick foam to foam to create a shape?

  • i mean can you use a hot glue gun

  • @Reebol yes, of course.

  • how do you stick the foam to the beanie

  • And what is that white thing connecting the yellow foam and green foam

  • How do you make the pattern

  • Where did you get the foam

  • what did you use to see through the head? did you use a black net or something? help me i'm seriously dying to know haha, I'm doing a head for a halloween party this friday and i'm freaking out.

  • @maiergu ^^ Calm down. Lol. If you go to a craft store, ask an associate for Aida cloth. It should be white, paper like, and full of holes. When you color it with markers, It'll be a lot easier to see out of. ^^ Good luck.

  • would you sell any of them?

  • il like the first head

  • Good tutorial video! I like the random background sounds, like when your dog starts barking (I imagined your dog walking into your room then seeing digimon and pokemon heads everywhere and freaking out), and your brother going "Blegh!" was funny too. But yeah, good video! Im wanting to make a Bast cat head for Halloween.

  • dude could you make a elmo costume

  • hello dear, i am wondering if you would know any advice to make a Mokona from Tsubasa? this would be great!

  • I made a bee head using your method Thank You!!!

  • Thank you so much!!! this was a great tutorial! ive always wanted to make a furry head and now I did, thanks to you!!

  • one thing she didnt mention was mark on the ducktape where the pieces go so you dont get confused

  • were did you get your foam

  • why dont you just stick the fabric on the mask direcly and cut the rest out?

  • @TheSilverFox91 I tried that with my guilmon head, and it didn't turn out as well as my Toothless head. So, it works and is good for a beginner. But if you have experience I would suggest this or the sewing method.

  • wait- do you cut the tape off the foam? If so, wont it cut the foam?

  • @funnykittenz1 You have to be pretty careful when cutting it. You should be able to get under the tape without cutting the foam. Of course, sometimes you will see the scissor lines in the foam, but they're very minuscule and won't be visible once you put fabric on.

  • ummm, quick question -yes im retarded :)-

did you cut the foam with the scissors or something else?

  • @deidaraobito There are usually 2 types of cutting tools. a} regular scissors. (you want some really good ones. Try any craft store.) and b} a foam knife. the kind of knife I use may also be used to cut meat, it has a motor, and several blades that move up and down. Do not use a heat knife for this kind of foam.

Use the foam knife to cut out large pieces of thick foam. Do not use it directly on your mask base. Use scissors to shape the foam.

  • wow those are good!

  • what foam do you use

  • @19worm98 It doesn't really have a name, but you can buy it at any craft store except for Micheal's. and I guess WalMart too.

  • @19worm98 There are speciality stores that sell large rolls of sheet foam (I used it to make a Stitch head) for a reasonable price. If you live in the Bay Area, I reccomend looking up the House of Foam in Menlo Park. Yes it is called the House of Foam. A good thickness is 2-3" thick foam for the base body and 1" foam for ears and other smaller details. Good for bulk projects

  • @Majorwolf101 Oooooh! Okay. ^^ This is a rather old video and I honestly completely forgot about that part. Well, that's my bro for you.

  • @Majorwolf101 what part were you having trouble understanding? Can I reword it for you?

  • messy workspace! invest in a fancy table!

  • @Arkenarge It's also called being creative. :P I do have a better table since making this video.

  • can any1 tell me plz , what is that green hard foam called? thanks IF you reply the correct answer

  • @Drake3498 The green foam is high density upholstery foam. It's ment for seat cushions, but works great for fursuits.

  • MEW I SAW MEW!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @llclark2005 yeah, I made a little plushie of him just for fun.

  • nice job you do really good!!!

  • Hey where are you getting your Foam....i went to Joanns and its like 64 dollars for a yard...

  • I usually take a coupon to Joanns. They're honestly the best place to get it. But you can find some at department stores in the Home and Garden part. They're usually less dense, and not the best type of stuff to use, but it's not like it's impossible to use.

  • @TechNinja1 downtown LA is cheaper ^_^

  • Thanks for the pattern part. I didn't even thought about that!

  • lol ive got the exact knife C=

  • But what if the mask is a Sonic character

  • You're going to need a LOOOOOOOOT of foam. For a sonic one, you might want to stack picies of thick foam on top of one another and glue them and cut out a hole inside for the head and eyes and mouth and stuff. Or vise versa.

  • Awesome! Thanks so much for making this. It helps a lot : D .

  • what type of foam? like the name

  • High density works best. But it can be low quality. Not very much rides on it. It's just easier to work with, and it comes out being a little more stable.

  • Thx so much for making this. Since its school, i'm starting this weekend.
