Russia is mother of Sambo and the best coutry for it .the level of sambo in the US and western coutries is low really low ... but still keep on going :) ! and u should share skills with more international competitions ! sorry for my bad english =]

Blue has good balance, effective counters and is a smart wrestler but what's up with all the backing up and playing the edge of the mat? Isn't there stalling/passivity in sambo? It's kind of pathetic for a hand to hand combat sport to allow that. If red did the same thing then they would have just stared at each other from opposite ends of the mat for 6 minutes.

In blue - he is surgeon. Treated people during war in the Chechen Republic in 1994-1996. Very long was not training in sambo. Has renewed trainings about 5-6 years ago in USA.

The guy in red...this was his first event wearing a gi. He is a no-gi grappler by training. He did very well considering that - and considering who he fought.

How strong is that guys grip the dude in red cant get it off. When the guy grabs you high by the neck you need to grab him inside to control the space that top grip is just too strong.

Yeah, he lure guys to the boundaries where he can thorw them. I have seen him win with subs though..at least some good attempts at the Battle of Brooklyn.
