I just ordered a precision 6500 i7 720 1.60ghz with 8 gb of ram but I got the 2800m instead of the 3800m, the specs still look good but I hope it runs GTA well, it's one of the few games I play.

Thats decent. You should look into defragging the game, i used a programe called contig, there are plenty of tutorials out there for it, I manage to get another 5- 8 fps out of my game after i do it.

yep 70 fps on low 60 fps on med and 45-46 fps on high you aint gonna belive it but here is my pc specs !

yes but i bought the game the firt day, i dont know that the game was bad optimised, but in your computer this game dont run good, becouse a amd althon 3.0ghz is more or less a c2d 2,7 or 2,6, the graphic card is important you will have alot fps in some moments and low fps in others.

yes with a nvidia 8600gt you can play but in med settings (if you have a quadcore), i think that with a quadcore and a 8600gt the game must run good, you can search in youtube, becouse i think that there are somebody who upload a video and have a quadcore and a 8600gt :)

the game goes very good, but if you go very fast with the car sometimes you see 24-25fps with alot of police and raining 21-22 sometimes,

this patch has some problems :(....at vlad's mission (clean gateway) is a bug...after you get a car Niko should call vlad to tell him something but he doesn't and this is a patch bug....i think you should put the patch after you finish that mission...any way,the patch is great,at a low resolution the game runs with lag to me but after putting this patch i play the game at high setting with little little lag...it runs good

really i dont know the path bugs becouse i had the 85% of the game complete, but my harddisk broke :( and i have only a save when i was the 43%, now i dont want to pass the mission other time and actually i try to win xlife points or i kill police all the time ejejjeje
