helpful, but so far nothing has come close to true Slovak pronunciation. i have been around plenty of Slovakians and Czechs to hear the difference, which sucks, because learning as an American is hard enough and i have to force it. womp womps. :P

@patsaxon Good to know but not relevant. Any tips on rolling r's? My tongue always tightens too much to make an English r sound so I can't roll mine.

I guess "m0dry" (blue) is pronunced like "mUdry" (smart/wise). I always used to mix up the slovak "o" and "u" my self.

are these all masculin versions of color?

cause in slovenian we say for example:

modri ptič (masculin)

modra knjiga (feminin)

modro morje  (aaaam srednji :)

@0smiPotnik yes, they are all masculine. normally slovak is the same as slovene: modrý vták (masculin), modrá kniha (feminin), modré more (neutrum :-))

I've been to Slovakia quite a lot of times, and I never heard a Slovak taking so much time to say "ihiiii,, man! :O Plus, they roll r's :) Beautiful language anyways!
