The reason that you see nothing in Gori is because this was made on August 14, AFTER the war. By this time, all the rubble had been cleared away, the fires had been put out, the injured were in hospital, and the dead were being buried. The reason it was not in ruins is that the Georgian construction companies launched a campaign to rebuild everything as quickly as possible to try to remove at least part of the painful reminder of what happened. The truth was, Russian warplanes bombed an apartment building close to military targeds, the intended targets, killing 60, and another bombing in the central district killed 4 civilians and a Dutch journalist.

Russia stopped because it did to want to come into conflict with the rest of Europe and it did not want to contend with the prospect of having to occupy Georgia.
It did seize a decent part of the country, and it still continues to occupy parts of it. It also helped Abkhazia seized territory previously held by Georgia.

The reason that you see nothing in Gori is because this was made on August 14, AFTER the war. By this time, all the rubble had been cleared away, the fires had been put out, the injured were in hospital, and the dead were being buried. I have seen videos of the destruction and death that happened in Gori.

The reason it was not in ruins is that the Georgian construction companies launched a campaign to rebuild everything as quickly as possible to try to remove at least part of the painful reminder of what happened. The truth was, Russian warplanes bombed an apartment building close to military targeds, the intended targets, killing 60, and another bombing in the central district killed 4 civilians and a Dutch journalist.

If I was Georgian president, I would not let RT be in Georgia. Well Georgia is a democratic coutnry and they are very open with journalists. But I guess RT is using that openness in a different way. Resident translations are totally wrong. They are just faking news. Do you know the size of the Georgian military? They a have a little over 30,000 troops. When the US military started to train them, Georgian troops didn't even have proper military equipment.
One reason why the US trained Georgian military was to fight Chechen rebels that were using eastern Georgia as a base of operations. The Russians were demanding the Georgians do something about this, so the Georgian military had to be improved.

Russia stopped because it did to want to come into conflict with the rest of Europe and it did not want to contend with the prospect of having to occupy Georgia.
It did seize a decent part of the country, and it still continues to occupy parts of it. It also helped Abkhazia seized territory previously held by Georgia.
Russia has a right to defend its citizens, but that does not mean it is entitled to destroy Georgian material and occupy territory.
The Georgian army was routed, not destroyed.

Hundreds of citizens were not killed - there is NO evidence to support the death toll that has been repeated over and over again.
There is NO evidence or 1,000, or 2,000 killed. Where are the bodies? They would be filling morgues and graveyards.
Even independent observers put the official toll at least than 100 dead civilians (which is still a shame, of course).
You are just repeating propaganda, but certainly not truth or accuracy.
Russia was certainly the aggressor crossing into Georgia.

The Iraqi army was the 4th largest military in the world when the US fought it (twice). Though all of its equipment was not the most up-to-date, Iraq had hundreds of tanks and hundreds of thousands of troops.
The Iraqi military was NOT small when the US invaded with a military that was SMALLER the Iraq's military.
What does Georgia have? 32,000 troops and a few dozen tanks.
Violence is WAY down in Iraq.
