I am going to keep praying that these little girl will continue to grow, live, and learn in their own way. I believe stories like these teach us all to be thankful of what we do have and just to be us. God Bless The Family And The Girls! I would like to say something to the family: I KNOW YOU DON'T KNOW ME, BUT I WANT YOU TO KNOW YOU HAVE TOUCHED MY HEART TO THE VERY MIDDLE AND I LOVE YOU! GOD BLESS YOU AND HIS HEAVENLY ANGELS SURROUND YOU ALWAYS! Amen.......
These little girls became blind due to complicatons related to their premature birth at 24 weeks. The blindness was caused by the premature infant's retinal disease, Retinopathy Of Prematurity. (ROP) The factors that cause this are: high oxygen levels, gestational age, and birth weight. The deafness was caused by antibiotics given to the girls to keep them a live, which damaged their inner ear, or a part of the ear called the cochlea. And also tiny hair foliciles that caused severe vertigo Shayla
Hi, i'm Shayla and I was born premature at 27 weeks. I had ROP stage 3 plus disease. Thankfully, Alaska's top pediatric eye sergion, Dr. Robert W. Arnold did laser surgery on my eyes, so I wouldn't become blind. I thank God everyday that he gave me my sight, which is currently 20/40 vision. As a result of the surgery, I was the 1st baby in Alaska to have the surgery done. That's pretty special. I have written a book called: Shayla~My Story to help raise awareness rop. I truely love the girls!
Being one of Adam Lepages uncles, I am very proud of him and all involved in the production of this "One Of A Kind" works of art. To those few who posted a dis-like to this, I truly hope you accidently pushed the wrong button, if that's not the case, then I feel sorry for your lack of quality, taste and most likely, education. To Adam, the musicians, producers and director on this project. KUDOS. Great job, and God Bless.
Since this music video was featured in a documentary about deaf-blind triplets, it would be nice if captions were available. Is there a version that's described for the blind?
this moves me to the very core and i had tears in my eyes i am not ashamed to say this i can only hope that they feel the hands of love and affection they more than deserve imagine not being able to see or hear to live in your head not able to get any reprieve i hope and pray they feel life kindly thru thoughtful and caring hands for they do have touch and smell i think may life give them safe hugs and tons of pretty flowers to smell
most children are born too early, not leaving enough time for their eyes and eardrums to develop. some are just blind and the medication from the nicu makes them deaf, or vise versa.
you dont know what kind of hardships these ppl face everyday. i know first hand. my mom is best frieds with liz hooker and i help take care of the girls
Oh yes, I have a mental handicap. You have such a way with insults. Getting jokes from a moving lacking as much plot as Borat. Way to go. You're the one saying, "lawl" kid. I dont know how you sleep at night making fun of handicapped people, and deaf/blind children. Youre dispicable. I'm not going to argue through comments with someone that is clearly a waste of time. Just use some respect next time. What if someone had a handicapped child that read this?It would hurt tremendously w/ your mocking
I can tell you something for sure though - you can never earn my respect, you're imagination is dead as well as your heart. And I don't mean the organ pomping blood.
Hey Adam, great job on the song and video. This is such a great thing ya'll did for these kids! I hope they get all the support in the world! by the way, hows lil' Lepage?
I only heard about these beautiful little girls today when I saw the Dr. Phil show. What got to me most was when Liz (the Mother) said how they girls lost their hearing slowly. High frequencies first and then low. So that meant male voices were heard long after female voice could no longer be. Her biggest fear was that the girls would think that Mummy just stopped talking to them. It's a remarkable family and Liz and George's strength is something we all could use a little more of.
i support this family by listening and also i will keep them in my prayer, i am hard of hearing and know how life is like, everyday is a challenge, i have mild mental retardation, adhd, ptsd, sensory integration disorder, dyspraxia, deafness, depression, panic disorder, communication disorder, expressive and exceptive language and speech disorder, and severe development delay and have overcome so much in my life and i never will give up.
I just saw the Dr. Phils show about the Dunn girls. What beautiful girls. George and Liz you know God sent you to each other and to these girls. Be patient with each other and keep your faith in God. Your rewards will be so wonderful. My prayers are with the whole family.
Thank you for taking the time to create such a lovely song for the Dunn girls. I have passed on the song & their story to others. As parents we are sometimes overwhelmed by, well a simple cold, but as I see the Dunn family and the courage they have as a family anything is "do"able! Thanks again for "Behind those Eyes". W.Marti
I have a six year old child I could not imagine. My baby was in the NICU too and we thank God every day that she is so healthy. I see things like this and I am in awe. I know God has a reason for their life even if its to touch yours. Wonderful song.
They are 7 year old deaf-blind triplets. Their step-father is leaving their mother because of them. I think these are the most beautiful girls in the world and I just want everyone to send a prayer out to them today.
I work with the triplets in the video and unfortunately the Dr. Phil show made George look like a bad guy when he really isn't. He loves Liz and the girls with all of his heart. He has given up his life and done tremendous things for these girls. Any parents, even with normal kids have problems, why should they be any different. But thanx for watching the video and please pass it on, because the more people that know about these amazing girls, the more help they will get toward their future.
I will pass along this song, and video "through your eyes" to as many people as I can. I certainly can't help out financialy, but I know many can. Bless*
Having worked for a service provider for the deaf and hard of hearing, and reading about these beautiful little girls, makes me realize everyday, again how blessed my children and I are. This was a beautiful video put together for these sweet, innocent little souls. My prayers are with these parents also, as they strive to work together for their family.
To TheVengeance. This song isn't about the guy singing. It's not even about whether or not you liked the song. If you had been paying attention, you would have seen that it's about three beautiful girls trying to cope with the fact that they are blind and deaf. Be respectful and keep your comments to yourself. Because like my parents said, if you don't have something nice to say, shut your mouth.

I dont think you have any idea what this is about. I hope that this never happens to you. I hope that the thought of these children stay on your mind. I would love to say some very rude things but I will not go down to your level.
I am awed. Beautiful song. Beautiful video. I can see God's hand. I know the girls will see the world. I can see the door opening. I bet they see a more beautiful world than we can imagine.
Brilliant!!! I love this video just as much as I love the song. I hope and pray that these little angels receive the education and development that they so desperately deserve.
I hope this video reaches people with big hearts who will view the non-prof site "noybysightfund.org" & donate to help the cause for these girls & other deaf-blind children. What a wonderful thing you are doing for them. I'm so glad to be able to be apart of it. I just wish I was able to do & give more. I am looking forward to the day that the girls get the teachers they need to help them develop their minds, & see the world. I know God has great things planned for them. Keep up the good work.
I hope and pray that this video would reach countless numbers of people and draw them into the fascinating and incredible story of these three beautiful little girls. What a blessing and privelege to know them personally. Liz and George, you guys are an inspiration and we love you all dearly.
I love this! -3

hahaha
why respect people who have shown me nothing worth respecting
someone being handicapped does not automatically earn them respect
and as far as someone with a handicapped child reading this
i could care less
what do i care about people i don't know?
not very much.
sethcantu 4 years ago
atleast you could respect people as they are... do you always require a deed or action from people to earn your respect ? you are remorseless
