If you want to hear a dramatised version of the whole story, it is currently (Friday 13th August 2010) being broadcast on BBC7,,the 3rd episode at 18.30 British time this evening, and the whole one and a half hours of it shortly thereafter on iPlayer, the first part avalable till 19th August and the others each a day later. But the George Sanders movie is the best version, apparently no longer available here except for a trailer with a raucouos and incongruous American commentary.
It already is uploaded. The 1960 film and its sequel were shown on Turner Classic Movies cable channel commercial-free and in original aspect ration on December 17,2008. You can also get the film and sequel for $10-12 on the same DVD from anywhere. Be glad you live in the digital-age, instead of the age of homo-superior (we are homo-sapiens).
really great video, come and upload audiobooks to my audio-sharing site soundlantern. We accept all audio formats like MP3, AIFF, WAV. Put it in the "Books" category, but you can also upload and share music. The link is on my channel

The old 1950s Film is one of those Films which
the total lack of special effects is a bonus. The story and plot being so plauseble as
to render such things pointless.A truly brilliant story and plot make this Flick a real classic.I wish some-body would upload the
"full" version of the black and white. The Christopher Reeve (RIP) is very good but it lacks the shock value of the original.Day of
the Triffids is also a brilliant concept what
a great writer Wyndham was.

@mattybissrocks: 1960's version is quite faithful, but 1995's has a lot of differences...
