I liked it better when you had to use your imagination to figure out what the player looked like. Helped make the game more immersive and real feeling.

In Myst 4 its still real people and i think the the graphic is the best in the 4´th game....

When I bought the 5´th game I was so happy cuz I had not seen any trailers or gameplay yet so it would totally be a suprise, and there was a suprise but not in a good way .... the characters was FCS animated !!!!!! that sucks

i agree with that. this fuck*ng animated characters destory the whole feeling of myst. the real actors made the game so special. and now its like any other game, exept the enviroment and so on

I think I prefer the old classic myst games. it is more fun to be able to move around in 3d I suppose but somehow that just feels like any other 3d "adventure" or RPG games nowadays. I find the older real textured environments more realistic believe it or not.

Yeah, I personally don't like the 3D. I haven't played Myst 5 (or 4 for that matter), but I can't believe that in the grand finale of the Myst games, they just animated faces on to animated characters. In the trailers I've seen the faces don't really look that real anyway! Why didn't they just stick with real actors?!

Myst 4 was very good. It's classic Myst point and click but much more immersing. Myst V however didn't feel like a Myst game at all.

I agree, the fourth was my favorite, and I was dissapointed with myst 5 because they didn't use real actors and it wasn't the same as the others.

Well, the Myst 5 trailer isn't really accurate. The faces look better than the guy's face in the trailer.

that's because it isn't myst smart guy, it's uru. It's a spin off of the myst series set in the present. They wanted to try something different than point and click.

ok so this game has no action, music is horrible, and half the time you can't see what's in front of you because it's so dark?

well myst isnt a fighter game, its a puzzle solving game, and the series is really old, this is the first game to actually use a controllable character
