The entire system revolves around PvP. The PvE is just the product everyone goes through before getting moreso into the forced PvP. Later down the road when you're forced to PvP, you end up doing both PvP and PvE in order to progress in the game.
The game is PvPvE. You can go either way, and still enjoy the game. I don't know what you're talking about with forced PvP. If you don't like the Abyss, you don't have to play there.
This game has A lot of Pve, as anyother MMORPG. But if you want PvP, you can have it also... in any moment, you canbe attacked by enemy forces since level 20... so you will be forced to defend yourself sometimes while doing Pve... But its part of the fun :)

eh one of the less interesting areas, but still pretty awesome
got to play the chinese open beta with the english patch, its unbelievable. even the storyline is pretty cool
