"Paramount" has indeed been dropped by CBS's production arm. It is now referred to as CBS Television Studios.

I much prefer CBS Paramount over CBS Television whenever it's used on Entertainment Tonight, Judge Joe Brown or CSI as well as Half & Half on TV One and syndication.

and I also heard that the television production division may drop the word "Paramount" from its name, and be simply referred to as CBS Studios, thus ending over 60 years of Paramount's involvement in TV (the last few years have been in-name only, by lending its name to CBS Paramount Television)

No it's not. It's the current theme. You've mistaken this one for the version from CBS Paramount Domestic Television.

I don't know why would they use the logo of CBS Paramount Network Television after that. It should've had CBS Paramount Domestic Television or CBS Television Distribution.
