I had no idea there were so many scholars of Baroque music and Handel on YouTube. I might not know any more than the most vocal of the lot, but I find this a charming performance, although a little slow. I myself would have added more ornamentation, which would have appalled the score literalists. Actually, upsetting score literalists is sort of fun.
Hes quite good looking now to the music strings are laborious too slow and with no articulate- this is an oratorio not a baroque aria-- where is the spirit the energy? the voice is quite nice but need more intonation control and less ornamentation just my opinion keep singing dude
Again, what's with the awful string tuning?? Cody--a bit indulgent--I know you were channeling Handel, but with the ornamentation you lost pitch and vocal focus. Made performance mushy--with your great voice, you don't need mushy... and Dude, if you can't sing an A after 6:30, then don't force it!

This song is sending me to Heaven. Thank God for Handel Messiah. I can't have enough of his songs especially this particular one.
