A Mac computer runs OSX, Windows and Linux natively and is built solidly and looks awesome. Meanwhile a PC can run Windows and Linux, looks like crap unless you get a gaming PC and will break if you drop it 1cm. Not saying Macs never break, but the track record for Mac is kinda better.

The funny thing is, any self respecting computer user won't go near Office software. M$ software is utter garbage. OS X has a very functional, very simple word processor built into it, but I guess the computer is aimed at the masses (potential Mac customers). A computer that comes with a word processor with features that are actually practical and useful? Whoa, what a concept!

A Mac computer runs OSX, Windows and Linux natively and is built solidly and looks awesome. Meanwhile a PC can run Windows and Linux, looks like crap unless you get a gaming PC and will break if you drop it 1cm. Not saying Macs never break, but the track record for Mac is kinda better.

@Akbaboy I can tell by your terminology that you don't actually know a lot about computers.
First of all, it's not PC, it's windows. PC stands for personal computer, which encompasses any computer you might buy, ever.
Second of all, running Windows on a Mac defeats the purpose of getting a Mac. The only thing that is of any worth in a Mac is the OS. The hardware is overpriced crap, the software is equally available for Windows, etc. If you want to run Windows, just buy a regular computer.

PC = cheap, customizable, comes with junk programs preinstalled, uses more resources, can get viruses and more vulnerable, plays many games
Mac = expensive, excellent design, user friendly, runs less resources, runs all operating systems, less likely to get viruses and more secure system, plays less games
I honestly haven't had a Mac before, but would like a Macbook Pro. I just personally want a more secure system.

get a ripped windows copy, no junk. also fixes resource hogging. viruses? are you running a copy of norton 1994 edition? firefox with ABP, nod32 and sanboxing software - no viruses forever.
running a custom rig with win7 and ubuntu = eternal win.
Mac is for the most casual of casuals.

@jinnwarior Just buy Windows 7 from the self, it doesn't come with the junk and you also have a legitimate copy of Windows. I honestly don't see whats the problem just using boot camp in Mac. You can run Mac, Windows 7, and Ubuntu in just one machine. I prefer to have my own lab of operating systems to mess around with.

I can have Mac, Windows, Linux, and FreeBSD all on one machine. Building your own Mac computer just defeats the purpose of even buying a Mac and that also ruins the overall experience of using a Macintosh. I have the latest Macbook Pro 15.4" and a backup windows computer for other stuff.

@derallter I'm actually first time Mac user since March 25th. I'm starting to really enjoy the Apple products. Even though they are expensive I admit, they always have great quality. Even if I'm a Mac user, doesn't mean I hate Windows or Microsoft. I just prefer to use something else than just Windows. I've used Windows since 95, I've always ranted on Apple and Mac but never actually gave it a try. "Try it, you'll like it. If not, go back to what you like."

The funny thing is, any self respecting computer user won't go near Office software. M$ software is utter garbage. OS X has a very functional, very simple word processor built into it, but I guess the computer is aimed at the masses (potential Mac customers). A computer that comes with a word processor with features that are actually practical and useful? Whoa, what a concept!

Sorry to all of you Mac fan-boys who are just "always on the go", write your novels at Starbucks, making crappy music with GarageBand and pointless YouTube videos of montages of your cat with iMovie, but Apple purposely designs their computers to overheat and die over time so you will have to re-buy them. Not to mention that they spy on you with their built-in webcams to get information out of you. "I wouldn't trade my Mac for anything"... that's exactly what Apple wants you to think.
