I tried to do this but I think i kinda messed up somehow. Is the placement on the leg crucial? I think I might have started too high up, because I felt a lot of pull on the leg muscle attached to the back of the knee. I had to take it of so as not to mess up yet another part of my leg :P
@OhioStBuckboy , yeah, i usually do the achilles first, the angles of the heel locks are a bit tougher because you have the ankle at a 45 degree angle instead of 90. I might move the ankle up a bit so the achilles tape job still does what you want it to do. I had an athlete I did this with this year and it worked fine. Good Luck!
Mike (liverdaddy) knows his stuff. I injured my ankle a few years ago and after visiting him just a few times I was up and running again with little pain.
You are a very good teacher. I work with a football team where I've been taping for several years and always recommend people wanting to learn how to tape to view your videos where they can watch them over and over again between practicing. Thank you very much. Do you plan on doing other videos?
Hi! I would like to know whta kind of tapes are those. I'm not being able to distinguish it. It looks like a very specific sports tape or something. If aynone knows the name of this kind of tape in portuguese, it would be of great help! Thank you!
@wagutoxD Amigo, as faixas usadas sao bem basicas. A roxa (primeira) eh conhecida como "pre-wrap" e eh usada pra proteger a pele. A segunda usada eh simplesmente esparadrapo. E a ultima, e a que voce estava em duvida, eh conhecida como "elastikon", que eh um tipo de esparadrapo um pouco mais elastico. Neste video voce esta enfaixando o tendao de aquilis, entao qualquer outro material pode ser usado.
Liverdaddy, thank you very much! My doubt acctualy was about the "esparadrapo", haha! Thought it was something diferent, more specific for athletes. Thank god we have esparadrapo in Brazil, haha! I'm already using it and it's doing the job for my bad ankles while I play basketball (I'm doing the wrap job of the other video, of course). It was very kind and polite of you to go after the information and getting back to me, I really apreciate it! Can't thank you enough! Thx again! =p
